Ephiny and the Conqueror’s Treaty – Part 4

Ephiny and the Conqueror’s Treaty

Part 4

“Whew!”

Ephiny glanced over at her lover as they walked out of the meeting hut and towards their own small hut. An exhausting meeting when everyone expected a quick conclusion.

“Never thought I say this, but I wish we were still dealing with the Conqueror,” Eponin stated expanding on her previous comment. “I feel like we were left with the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Ya know, if I didn’t know any better I’d say this was planned so we’d have to deal with her.”

Eph had no reply about that, and had to chuckle at her lover calling Bri a wolf. However she had to admit Bri had a way of saying and phrasing things which made you think you were winning until you realized what you agreed upon was what she wanted all along. What made things even worse no one seemed to be able to get mad at her, even Valaska who despite her previous outburst was not immune to the innocent smile. Continue reading…

Part 3

Ephiny sighed a bit glancing outside the window seeing the sunlight streaming in which indicated lunchtime was fast approaching. She felt the growing hunger and being trapped in a meeting room all morning had soured her good mood from last night. Glancing across the room to the source of her aggravation, Valaska who argued everything.

“Valaska, is there a reason, other than your opinion, that the Nation shouldn’t make this treaty with Greece?” Melosa asked point blank.

“She is the Conqueror, we can’t trust her to keep her word, or have you forgotten that. In a few years the Nation will cease to exist if we agree to this treaty,” Valaska stated.

“But Rome will?” Melosa said suddenly and with a different attitude causing Eph to wonder what the queen had in mind. Continue reading…

Ephiny and the Conqueror’s Treaty – Part 2

Part 2

Ephiny leaned back in her chair feeling her back pop back into place after so many candlemarks of debate. She silently applauded the Conqueror for the direct, and simple concept but there were many issues that could jeopardize everything they were working for. The Conqueror was looking to replace Rome as the supplier for all goods to the Amazon Nation, and it made sense as Greece was closer than Rome, a shorter distance to travel would mean fresher goods, and any amazons would be gone for a shorter period of time.

The main sticking point had to do with attitudes like Valaska who did not like the Conqueror and tried to find faults with everything. Eph felt Valaska was too emotionally involved to see anything but her point of view and the fact the Conqueror wanted to conquer them. Eph did not see things quite the same and wondered how the queen thought as she had been quiet for most of the meeting. Eph felt the treaty would benefit the nation overall, but not as much as it would Greece.

She kept an eye on the blonde, who kept her cloak closed and would make several whispers to the Conqueror who would stop and think before speaking. It usually happened in the middle of the most intense debates and what the Conqueror said was usually quite well thought out. It made Eph wonder who they were dealing with, the Conqueror or the blonde which brought up its own questions. Continue reading…

Part 1

Ephiny carefully, and silently made her way towards the two familiar people in front of her hiding in the bushes. Pausing a moment to pull the cloak closer around her to ward off the wind before continuing forward again towards her targets. Stepping lightly on the forest floor avoiding any twigs. The wind picked up bringing a chill causing her to stop for a second before continuing again when neither head in front of her turned around.

She watched a snowflake drift past her nose before glancing up at the grey sky. Winter would arrive a bit later than normal and today was one of the coldest days Ephiny could remember this winter. The clouds seem to indicate they were in for a big winter storm soon.

Refocusing on her targets she moved forward again before pausing again and waiting a second, neither woman seemed to have noticed her approach with their attention forward. Ephiny smiled reaching out to shake a nearby branch watching the snow fall down upon the unsuspecting women. Continue reading…

Shuttle headed to the Imperial Fleet

Deserii looked across the small area where she sat to her new companion, a young Twi’lek named Vette. Master Baras had given Vette to her and now Deserii had to figure out what she would do with a slave. So far Vette proved adept in battle, and was pleasurable to look at, a nice combination after so long on Korriban.

“I thought we were headed to Drunond Kaas, where are we headed?” Vette asked, lounging on the seat across from Deserii.

“To the Imperial Fleet, from there we’ll catch a shuttle to Drunond Kaas. Unfortunately the Empire doesn’t have straight flights between the planets,” Deserii explained to her new slave. Continue reading…

Part 12:  Meeting

Ares looked on, hearing the reports of the battle coming in. They had taken the Cylons by surprise this time. However, now the Cylons knew another group was out here. Now patrols were even more important.

They had managed to destroy all four basestars blocking the Galactica’s fleet to the systems, and one additional basestar had been destroyed in the rear. They had lost a couple of destroyers, damage to a cruiser, and the battlestar Yorktown.

In all, he would accept that, five basestars for no battlestars. Such a lopsided battle result gave him confidence in the future. They had also gained an additional three battlestars to the fleet, along with a battlecruiser and its escorts. Continue reading…

Part 11: Battle for Survival

“Incoming Cylon raiders,” Athena’s voice said across the bridge.

Adama looked over at her station, knowing by the intensity she was giving the monitor in front of her, it was the truth. The announcement had been something Adama expected to hear from the moment Cylons were reported.

“Red Alert,” he said calmly. He made his way down to the scanner to check where the raiders were coming from. It took him only a few microns to understand the fleet was faced with more than one basestasr, and by the looks of the incoming raiders, way more than three. They were completely outnumbered, even with the additional two battlestars.

“Launch all vipers, protect the civilian ships,” Adama ordered. Continue reading…

Part 10: The Trap

Adama sat at his desk impatiently waiting for any news from the Agamemnon. The scanners still indicated the ship there and the last report from Tigh indicated a meeting with the unknown group. He still had a lot of questions about what was going on, and what other group was out there. A light knock on the door caused him to look up.

“Enter.” The door opened revealing Crystal standing there. “Come in.” he said to her, watching as she came in and sat down. The young woman with highly developed powers became a welcome distraction many times. “What can I do for you?”

She remained quiet for several seconds, normal for her before saying anything.

“The feelings have changed,” she said quietly. Adama leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk as she took a breath and continued on. “It’s a choking feeling, someone is searching for us.” Continue reading…

Part 9: Stories

Sheba waited on the hangar deck for their mysterious friend. Standing beside her was Boomer, Bojay, and Jolly. They were all wondering what type of craft would land. After landing they were to bring Troy up to the conference room where Tigh would be waiting. They decided to do it this way in case of a problem. The hangar had the minimum number of crew members in case of an explosion, and locks were in position to prevent any fire from spreading to the rest of the ship.

“About to land,” one of the deck crew stated.

They all turned to watch. She blinked a bit in shock seeing a black, sleek-looking viper land, followed by a second one. Both were easily moved into position as the canopies opened and two people got out dressed in warrior uniforms, complete with blasters.

“Not what I expected,” Sheba stated to Boomer, who looked as shocked as she felt.

“No, they look like warriors,” Boomer said. Continue reading…

Part 8: The Agamemnon

Tigh headed to the briefing room, where Boomer and Jolly would be waiting for him. It appeared they had discovered something while out on their patrol by the speed which they returned. Tigh hoped they had not found any Cylons, but he did not hold onto any hope. Adama already knew of something, and they both feared Cylons.

Tigh walked into the room, seeing Jolly and Boomer already seated, along with Sheba and Bojay sitting there. He paused, looking at them for a second not expecting them to be here. Sitting down he looked over at Boomer and Jolly.

“I take it you have some information,” Tigh asked, looking at Boomer.

“Yes, I was about to turn around when Jolly spotted something on the scanners,” Boomer said, starting the debriefing. “Looking down the scanner had picked up a lot of contacts. The Warbook identified them as Cylon raiders.” Continue reading…
