Chapter 2

Tess glanced over at the clock, sighing as she realized she had a meeting in a few minutes. She glanced down at the blonde head of her new slave, Ami. The girl had fallen asleep some time ago after crying herself out. Tess knew her slave needed that to move on, and thought about it all, knowing that they would talk about it some more. Her story made no sense to Tess.

Reluctantly she eased herself out from under Ami, and placing a pillow on the sofa and covering the girl walked out finding Helen standing nearby.

“Empress,” the old woman said, bowing slightly. Continue reading…

Chapter 1

Ami stood in her orange prison clothes as the jury finished their verdict.

“Guilty.”

Ami heard the word, knowing the punishment coming. She still had a hard time understanding how they could find her guilty? A terrorist act that killed thousands, actually ten thousand, one hundred and thirty-six, as the prosecution so fondly reminded everyone in the courtroom.

She had no friends in this world. Her lawyer, strangely, seemed sympathetic. The only one who even dared take her as a client. The one person who still talked to her. Ami had the feeling he thought she was innocent, despite the evidence the prosecution brought forth. Continue reading…

Unveiling

Commander Adama made his way up to the bridge of the Galactica. He had been released to light duty by the doctors, and now had come aboard to check out the repairs. The robots worked quickly and efficiently making some major repairs to the engines and armor. The robots had even repaired one of the engines on the tanker the Galactica would escort back to the fleet.

They were only waiting on the return of Doctor Wilker before leaving the asteroid. Part of Adama wished he could bring many other ships over here, but he also knew the asteroid was extremely short on supplies and did not have the resources for such things. He did manage to have two of the three argo ships brought over for a complete overhaul as well. Continue reading…

Crystal

Jason raced back to his viper, aware of what was going on behind him. If they had caught Apollo, they might come after him as well. His first thought, he needed to get help, and in order to do that, he had to get back to the fleet. Once there they could come back and rescue Apollo.

He looked around upon reaching his viper, glad he did not see anyone following him. They either did not know about him, or considered him no threat, whatever that threat might be. He had no idea why they had captured Apollo, and as he went thought the takeoff procedure the question entered his mind.

Quickly powering up the engines, he launched off the planet’s surface. Now on the way back, he wondered about the conversation he overheard. Something about a dead emperor, but what that might have to do with the captain, Jason did not know. Continue reading…

The Emperor

Apollo and Starbuck made their way down the hallway. They were on patrol duty next and their wingmates were already waiting in the briefing room. They would have Aaron and Jason, two recruits who showed a lot of promise. In a way they reminded Apollo of him and Starbuck when they went through training as well.

Aaron was calm and cool under pressure and looked at things rationally while Jason seemed to be the loose cannon, the reckless guy who did amazing things. He also noticed another guy, Cronus, who remained him a bit of Boomer, someone who got dragged along with whatever scheme was thought up.

They walked into the briefing room, Starbuck sitting down while Colonel Zikku started the briefing. They were to patrol ahead of the fleet. Continue reading…

Voyage to Earth – The Question

The Question

Starbuck made his way down the hallway, a bit of anger over the situation. They had failed to catch the man who poisoned the commander, and let down everyone. The one person who had answers for the motive behind the attack was dead. This mean, at least to Starbuck, that whoever was behind it, knew they were closing in or tying up loose ends.

The resent events got Starbuck thinking about his own life as well, and everything he lived through up till now. The destruction of the Colonies, fleeing the destruction, and the adventures they had since then. He thought about one thing recently, especially after everything. Perhaps it was time after all.

Walking into the medlab, he quickly noticed Cassiopeia, who was looking after Adama. Crossing the room he made sure that nothing was the matter, and a bit relieved to see the commander talking. Continue reading…

A Killer Revealed, A Killer Unknown

Cassiopeia stood quickly heading over to the door, where Apollo was helping his father into the room. Adama clutched his chest in obvious pain. She could only assume some sort of heart attack. She glanced at the doctor who nodded.

They helped Apollo bring Adama into the room, laying him down on the examination table. Cassiopeia quickly ran over taking a blood sample to check if ithian was in his blood, silently hoping it wasn’t.

Sticking the sample into the computer she waited a few seconds for the analysis. She shifted on her feet knowing that time was of the essence. If they started treatment without the antidote they could do damage to his heart, and if they gave the antidote, it could be just as lethal. Continue reading…

Movement of the Giants

Tigh looked out across the bridge of his newly appointed command, the Agamemnon. Everyone worked hard at getting the ship up and running. Despite it being complete, they had to move in personal supplies, food, and people on board. Aside from some things, the ship was fully ready to go, complete with fuel and ammo.

Currently the crew was working to get the ship moving so it could move out of the Yestyi’s way. The engineers had tested the engines making sure they would work properly. People on the bridge were having to get used to color screens, something they were not used to. Even the scanner display, situated in the middle of the room and of a three-dimensional layout to give a better view of what was going on. Scientists had developed such a things towards the end of the war, and was even scheduled to be installed on the battlestars after the peace treaty.

From his seat he could look out the viewport and see the battlestar Hyperion, which had dozens of robots flying around constructing it. The black armor of the ship gave it a very unique appearance compared with the Agamemnon. It looked like a hunter. Continue reading…

Part 2

Hercules paced around the perimeter of the defenses. He wanted to know what was going on. The sun had been up for over a candle mark now and there was no sign of either Hagest’s army or Gabrielle.

There was a cry that someone was coming and Hercules raced to see who it was. The sight that greeted him was something he was expecting to see. There a tall dark haired warrior was running towards them. Over one of her shoulders was Gabrielle. It was not Gabrielle that shocked him; it was the fact that it was Xena coming.

Xena ran through the defenses quickly scanning the layout for weakness where she could go after she took Gabrielle to the healer. Continue reading…

Part 1

A tall, large, muscular man walked slowly towards the cemetery. He headed towards one grave in particular. It was only a year old and the name that was on the grave was very familiar to him. He stopped in front of it and stood there for a while.

A few people walked by noticing the man and who he was. He was a good friend of many of them. They all knew not to disturb the man while he was in the cemetery. He was saying good bye to a good friend of his. He had been out of the country when his friend had died. The rumors said that he was in Britannia at the time that was why he was not able to help.

“Sorry I wasn’t there when it really mattered Iolaus,” the man said silently even though no one was around who would have heard him. “I promise that I’ll keep an eye on Thedious, if he’s anything like you and I were, I’ll have my hands full again,” he said with a sad smile on his face. Continue reading…
