Part 7: Stealth Attack

Gunther looked down at his screen, seeing the captain of the Sydney looking back at him.

“Captain Gunther, you’ve made it out here?” Johnson said.

“Yeah, hear you’ve had some excitement,” Gunther replied, having read the reports about the battle, and the quick relief sent to the ships of the Colony.

“Yeah, things have calmed down a bit over there, with the addition of food and water, its amazing how that will calm a group of people,” Johnson said.

Gunther did not wish to even imagine what the group had to go through on their journey. The Argo had its own problems, but food never seemed to be a problem. Of course, the Argo had storage for a yehren’s worth of food, and with replenishing from planets they were never in danger. They also had a slightly below normal complement for a battlestar which meant the crew never put a strain on the life-support systems. Continue reading…

Part 6: Relief Ship

Troy looked at his scanners for any further Cylons, not seeing anything and finally sat back in his seat. They had managed to win the battle. He had been Bri’s wingman during the battle but now he resumed command. He would have been foolish to take the lead when Bri was the better pilot.

“Sydney, this is Troy, come in,” Troy said, waiting a few seconds for the Sydney to reply and finally to get a hold of Captain Johnson.

“Yes lieutenant commander,” Johnson said.

“I’m going to land aboard the Colonial warship, it will get us contact, and I can adjust their communications with ours,” Troy said.

“That’s a good idea, I’ll inform HQ about the situation,” Johnson said.

“Then I’ll talk to you later,” Troy said, before turning his attention to his wife. “You heard that Bri?” Continue reading…

Part 5: No Retreat

Tagget looked at the group of captains in front of him who looked back at him in shock. They all heard what he had to say, but no one seemed to want to actually acknowledge it.

“If we attack we could be all be killed,” Percy said.

“And if we leave, we doom people to death anyways,” Tagget said, “Our food supplies are gone. We don’t have enough to last two days.”

He watched them with shock in their eyes. They had known things were bad, but not that bad. To learn how little they had.

“Why didn’t you say something?” Orion said.

“And do what? There was nothing else we can do. Food has always been scarce, but this would have caused a panic among the people,” Tagget said. Continue reading…

Part 4: Decisions

Phantom looked down as two centurions entered the room once more. Probably with information concerning the Colonial fleet.

“Speak,” he said to them.

“By your command,” the centurion said. “A basestar commander has spotted a colonial viper in the system.”

“Which basestar?”

“Number eight,” the centurion said, as Phantom looked over at the starmap, noticing where eight was.

“According to the plan,” Phantom said. “Inform basestars six and nine to close in. The commander of the Colonial fleet will not risk combat and move on as planned. The two basestars will overwhelm the Colonial fleet destroying it.” Continue reading…

Part 3: Patrols

Phantom, an IL series Cylon, watched two centurions enter his command room with an update on the situation he so carefully planned.

“Speak centurion,” he said, looking down at them from his command chair.

“By your command,” the gold centurion said. “As you calculated, the Colonial ships turned upon intercepting our signals.”

“Then they are headed towards the trap?” Phantom asked.

“Yes, two basestars are closing in behind them, and one waits for them in the system,” the centurion said. Continue reading…

Part 2: Movement

Troy looked up as Captain Pratt entered the room. The normal rank would have been commander now, but with them adopting Earth military ranks everything changed. He had become a Lieutenant Commander, but Bri remained a Lieutenant.

“Ah, Troy and Bri, lucky to find you both in one spot,” Pratt said, approaching them.

“What’s up?” Troy asked.

“You’re to head over to the Sydney right away. You’ll be briefed once you get on board,” Pratt ordered.

“All right,” Troy said looking over at his wife then at Nall who seemed disappointed he wasn’t going. Continue reading…

Part 1: The Groups

Commander Adama looked down across the bridge of the Galactica. So much had changed in the past yehren. They had encountered a strange base, and in that base waiting two new battlestars. He never learned much about who the robot worked for, only some ancient dead race.

“Commander, incoming message from the Hyperion,” Athena said.

“Put it though” Adama said, seeing Omega’s face appear on the screen. Tigh took command of the Agamemnon and Omega command of the Hyperion. “Omega, what’s the situation?”

“We investigated a few systems ahead, one planet which supports life, sending teams down to check on food and other supplies that might be easily extracted,” Omega said.

“Okay, if things check out we’ll send a supply ship your way,” Adama said. Continue reading…

Part 9 (Conclusion)

She pushed the door open and was greeted by the sight of Xara lying in bed, with shirt on that barely covered everything. Bri stopped in shock for a moment as she took in the sight. Her mouth went dry and she stood there mutely. Xara looked up from her maintenance of her lightsaber that was sitting on her lap. A quick grin at the look on Bri’s face told Xara everything she need to know.

“Are you going to stand there all day, if so I’ll starve to death,” Xara said with a grin on her face. Bri blushed a bit at having been caught and closed the door. She crossed over to where Xara was sitting and set down the food.

“I didn’t know what you liked, so I picked out my favorite,” Bri said as she took out the food and set it out for them. Continue reading…

Part 8

Bri had anticipated herself for the strike that would have cut the coward of a person in front of her in half. She wanted it so much and was shocked when her blade had been stopped so close to her goal. It took her brain a few seconds to realize what had stopped her lightsaber and the color of the blade. It was red and she realized right away who it was.

“Stay out of this Xara,” Bri growled out not taking her eyes off of her intended target to look at Xara.

“Can’t Bri, you know that,” Xara said not moving her blade. She had arrived just in time to see Bri rear back and bring her saber down on the man. Xara had used all of her training to stop Bri from making a large mistake, and a path that Xara knew very well, something she could not allow to happen to Bri. Continue reading…

Part 7

Arble sat back in his chair, so far he had spent the morning doing damage control. His plans were still intact, for the most part. He just had to figure out if he had enough power to begin his plan without the communication company in place. He was deep in thought when one of his lackeys walked into the room.

“Ah, Garret, come in my boy,” Arble said the young man. “I have a job for you, I want you to begin the operation,” he told the man.

“Is that wise sir?” Garret asked wondering if his boss was all right, or if the recent events had finally pushed the man over the edge.

“Don’t question me!” Arble thundered suddenly standing up and Garret had to take a step back as he caught the look in Arble’s eyes. Continue reading…
