Part 6

Zoe looked on as the man behind the counter placed down the glass he was cleaning and looked over at them.

“Leah, what are you shouting for?” he asked, cleaning his hands and making his way over.  “If you want something to drink let me know.”

Zoe watched unsure what was going on as Leah waited for OMB to walk over to them.

“Just come over here,” Leah said waving him over waiting until he crouched down next to them.

“Now, I’m here, what’s going on?” he asked, looking at Leah.

“Zoe here says you sent her a letter,” Leah said pointing to her.  She watched as an unusual expression covered his face. Continue reading…

Part 5

Zoe stood in front of the Jarl of Whiterun once more, a position she never dreamed of only a short time ago.  She had been a nobody only a short time ago and now after defeating a dragon whispers of Dragonborn were directed at her.  A title she never heard of before, of course she had never seen a dragon either, or so she thought until recently.

It had been strange, she should have been fearful upon first seeing the creature attacking the outpost.  Yet, something inside her jumped at the chance to take down a dragon.  When it died she had gone for a closer look, only to have something strange.  She absorbed the dragon’s power.  She could shout, something she only heard in tales, and even then it was rare or took a lot of training.  Being able to do it like she had was unusual.

Now her third time in front of the Jarl, the first was to warn him of the dragon attack on Helgan.  He had asked her to help his court wizard.  The second they received word of the dragon attack and now, she was here once more being appointed a Thane of Whiterun by him.

“Thank you my lord,” she said to him. Continue reading…

Part 4

The Underground!

Zoe moved along seeing flickering torches lining many walls giving a bit of light in a dark place.  Now that she ran down here she understood why few came down here.  The depths of death and despair in the Imperial City.  Full of thieves, murders, and druggies all down here to hide from the authorities.

A person didn’t come down here for the tourism, but were here for some other reason and most were not legal.  She moved along keeping an eye out for any trouble, not that she had anything on her to stop trouble.  You didn’t exist down here and you didn’t rat anyone out.  The only rule for the area, or so the rumor went.

She felt certain the Thalmor wouldn’t come down here, at least not for a while giving her time to plan her next move if she had one.  She slumped to the ground looking around in the dim flicker of light provided by gas lamps on the side of the wall. Continue reading…

Part 3

Zoe made her way past a group of people and she recognized several, including the Orc and Imperial from earlier and Tegan.  Pausing she looked on at the scene and noticed that Tegan appeared to be trying to appease them all.  Moving closer until she could make out the conversation.

“I know you swindled us,” the Orc said to Tegan.

“Now, I don’t know a thing of what you’re talking about,” Tegan said, holding his hands up as he plead with the group.  “All I know is what they tell me, what matches are going to be that day, that’s it.”

“And why should we believe you?” the imperial said, stepping closer to Tegan who now was against the wall looking for an escape route.

“I know what it looked like, and it was a surprise to me as well,” Tegan said to them.  His eyes glancing around at all of them. Continue reading…

Part 2

Zoe made her way out of the city thinking she might do some fishing.  If nothing else she might get something to eat for the next couple of days.  It might not solve her money problem but she could at least eat.

Looking down the road she noticed a man talking with the guard, wearing an impressive looking set of leather armor and sword.  She slightly flinched when the guard pointed in her direction and the man started towards her.  She wondered if running was an option, but she really had no problems with anyone at the moment.  No debt fortunately so no collectors.

“Are you Zoe Scatlite?” he asked walking up to her.

“Yeah, and you are?” she asked, ready for just about anything, including running if this suddenly turned bad. Continue reading…

Disclaimer: This is a fanfiction based upon the game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and also is based upon the mod ‘Bathing Beauties Luxury Suite” by Migal130.

Part 1

“Welcome,” the large creature said, speaking in a strange guttural voice.  It was massive, dwarfing her.  “You fear me Laat Dovahkiin.”

Zoe blinked at the name, so unfamiliar it sounded like gibberish to her.  In her fear riddled mind she had trouble even forming a coherent thought with such a creature in front of her.  She did manage to step back, almost stumbling over a rock behind her.

“I see, you are weak,” it stated, its massive head lowering down to look at her, a large eye peering at her.  “I can see into your soul Dovahkin.” Continue reading…

Update

Hello,

Yes, I hope to return back to the land of writing.

For the past couple of years I’ve been care-giving my dad who had dementia and it took a lot of time, physically and mentally.  Sadly, as with this horrible disease there is only one outcome.  He finally passed on peacefully in 2021 after many ups and down and 10 months of Hospice care.  Still in the process of recovering from the exhaustion that comes from care-giving I hope to return to my writing.

I hope to look around and see where the files are for the story that I was posting, finish that one.

In the meantime I hope to rediscover myself again and hopefully reignite that passion for writing that I once flowed from my mind.

My life for the next year or so will be filled with new directions after the past couple of years as I face new challenges and freedoms that I didn’t have the previous couple of years. I also hope to do some traveling, perhaps see the battlefield of Gettysburg, or perhaps Custer’s Last Stand again.

Did have a new addition in the arrival of a 4 week old kitten while everything was locked down during covid.  Walked up the driveway and stayed.  He’s now an indoor cat.

Still making videos on my YouTube channel, Wowzery of the game Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts.

Hope to update soon after I do some figuring out where I left off, where the files are on the computer and all of that, updating the background workings of the site as I haven’t been on in a couple of years.

Master of Violence – Part 30

Master of Violence

Part 30

Mark looked on as Angie answered questions to the media.  She had become a media darling since returning to Earth telling her story over and over, going on several shows and showing support for the military.  Jack had gone a few times, and surprisingly it seemed, at least to Mark, that Angie seemed to actually care for him.

He and Angie were both dealing with the loss of her mother, Mark’s sister.  Angie’s father had passed away a few years earlier.  Mark learned Jack had lost his parents in the attack as well, and he and Angie leaned on each other for support.

The others in the group didn’t want the spotlight as much, and for some reason Angie loved it.  Mark was fine with it.

“She’s doing quite well today,” another person said standing next to Mark.  He recognized him as Charlie.  He was the oldest of the group, and Mark learned that he and his son, Ben, had been on a fishing trip when the attack occurred. Continue reading…

Master of Violence – Part 29

Part 29

Mark looked out at the ground watching as the shuttle made its decent to the surface.  In the shuttle along with him was Victoria, and Toncor as they went down to check on how things had gone.

They had secured the main city, and with new reinforcements from Earth they were heading out to the other cities to make sure they were also freed.  Resistance had been lower than expected, and they had encountered a lot of other races who seemed skittish over what happened.

Toncor was already reviewing the situation on the surface.  Mark was anxious to see his niece who had been such a help in all of this.  Victoria was going over what needed to be done to set up a working government and see what help was needed to get the colony back up and running.

The shuttle bumped along though the atmosphere.  The pilot mentioned something about a storm in their path but otherwise would be no problems.  Mark waited patiently and looked out the window at the passing scenery seeing the town come up.  It looked nothing like he could remember and instead had a very alien look to it all now.  The buildings were not black and purple, an odd color and not at all attractive.  It seemed designed to clash with the surrounding area rather than blend in.  The shuttle swooped around, turned back and finally settled down on the surface with a slight jot indicating it had landed. Part 28

Toncor made his way to the bridge having been summoned by the admiral, Mark Pappas.  He heard the battle in space had ended which was good news to him.  He had been worried about dying in space on board the ship, but aside from a few bumps nothing major.  And there seemed to be no panic among any of the crewmembers.

He actually used the time to go over the progress reports from his people.  They had arrived at the planet Mars, and were helping to terraform it even more.  Settlements were quickly established.  Things were progressing rather quickly and Iccol had stated they might be able to plant a harvest by the end of the month.  Even the other transport, the Hotlife was beginning to send people down to help as well.  It was becoming a good mix of civilizations.

The bridge was full of people going about their duties, a few stopped and looked at him.  It was something had had gotten used to.  Not every human was used to having an alien around them.  He looked up as Mark made his way over to where he stood. Continue reading…
