“Commander Adama to the bridge.”

Adama paused in the corridor next to Uri. He was headed to the council to inform them what had happened but it seemed that something else was going on now.

“I’ll be right there,’ Adama said to Uri, and turned to find a communicator to see what was going on. Quickly finding one he called the bridge.

“Commander,” Omega said.

“What’s the problem,” Adama said hearing the worried tone in Omega’s voice.

“The patrol spotted a Cylon basestar,” Omega said catching Adama’s attention.

“What’s it doing?” Adama asked. Continue reading…

Morpheus entered Zion seeing several people look over at him. The fact he wasn’t immediately captured made him feel a bit better, but not much.  Now he had to find a way to head to the council and get them to see reason.

“Morpheus,” Turner said walking up to him, flanked by two other men.

“General, what is the situation?” Morpheus asked hoping to gain some insight into what had been going on and if he needed to run, wait, or be captured.

“Interesting,” Turner said. “You’re still going to be under arrest, follow me.” Continue reading…

“Helm, set course to exit the atmosphere,” Apollo heard Tigh say and watched the officer put in the orders and execute.

Despite the artificial gravity he felt the difference as the ship pitched up heading up towards the clouds. The massive ship rocked slightly as it passed through the storms and everyone held their breath hoping it wouldn’t short anything out.

One computer burnt out, but the major systems remained operational and suddenly it was smooth again and he felt the gravity smooth out and realized the ship was passing into orbit. An interesting sensation as he looked down at the scanners to see if anything was out there.

“Scanners showing nothing,” Apollo said, relieved to not see a basestar waiting for them. Continue reading…

Tigh walked onto the bridge along with Starbuck and was amazed at how much like the Galactica it appeared, despite the fact the electronics looked more futuristic. Everything appeared to be functioning as several techs from the Galactica were working already to get the programs loaded on and working.

“Sir, we’ve uploaded the programs, just working on making sure they are running correctly, should take a few microns,” the tech said to Tigh.

“Good, what about the engines?” Tigh asked.

“Last I heard, fuel was being loaded, not sure if they finished that or not,” he replied. Continue reading…

Adama watched the tanker as it filled with people from the Galactica and would be heading for Earth shortly. He knew the trip would be strange for them despite the fact they had been briefed on what to expect upon arrival on Earth.  The place they would arrive at would be full of machines with few humans to greet them.

Thinking of the humans on the planet caused him to think of something else, or rather someone else, Count Iblis. What did he want this time?  What was his goal?  Adama knew another confrontation would have to happen between the two of them, almost as if they both knew it would happen when they first met.  They never finished sparring with each other, and Adama also thought about the Beings of Light.  What was their true objective in all of this?

“Commander,” Tigh’s voice said interrupting his train of thought. Continue reading…

Part 23

Adama walked into the bridge with purpose knowing he had a lot to do including meeting with the Council right away. His meeting with the Bings of Light still fresh in his mind he felt uneasy about what needed to be done, and who was involved.  The one thing he knew at the moment was they found a planet called Earth.  If it was the thirteenth tribe or not Adama was not sure.  It seemed that the humans on the planet had a war with machines as well and as a result their history had been destroyed so any record of Kobal were erased or not known.

Of course the other problem was count Ilbis who was part of the human’s council on Earth. If he was controlling Zion then a lot of things could happen.  The last time they had confronted each other they fought for control of the fleet.  This time Adama had a feeling it would be over the human race.  He could not afford to lose this war.

“I will be assembling the Council quickly, I need to talk to them over what happened. Also, have a group of people ready to head over to one of the fuel ships to start a crew for a new battlestar,” Adama said to Tigh, watching as Tigh appeared shocked at the words. Continue reading…

Adama followed John to a small room, which also was completely white making him wonder if they had any other color other than white. It got a bit, dazzling after a while.

“Now, what did you want to say to me that you did not want the other to know,” John asked, his tone curious as he turned to look at Adama. He wanted to know what Adama wanted to ask, but had a feeling he already knew and waited.

“You’re involved now because someone else is already involved,” Adama stated. John made no move to counter or dispute but waited a bit as Adama continued.  “What I can’t figure out is why you don’t go in and get him.”

“Everyone has free will commander,” John replied. Continue reading…

Part 21

It couldn’t believe what happened. It had been so close to victory and the puny military on the human planet was completely overwhelmed, at least it had been until they landed and that’s when everything went wrong.

Reports filtered in from its commanders of humans dressed in black suits with speed and strength unknown in any human. All over the planet these men appeared fighting its troops and winning.  Even if they managed to kill one, another took its place.

Even more disturbing was the report of a man and woman dressed in black and sunglasses who decimated its troopers. They were joined by another man, also in black, and with a long trench coat on.  They took its soldiers weapons and proceeded to destroy its forces. Continue reading…

Part 20

Adama turned to see Doctor Wilker walking towards him. The man appeared to have a plan going on and Adama wondered if he wanted to hear the plan this time.  The entire fleet was in danger to this threat and the Glactica could not defend against more than one basestar, and even to do that he needed time to maneuver.  He could not stand against the entire war machine of the Cylon Empire.

“What do you mean doctor?” Adama asked, hoping they could get this over quickly and get back to the fleet. The quicker things were set up the better.

“Commander, I have an idea, and talked to DE while you were gone about it and he agreed. I think we should stay,” Wilker said much to Adama’s surprise.

“We can’t afford to stay, it would mean suicide for us all,” Apollo stated before Adama could say anything.

“Perhaps if I showed you rather than tell you, you might understand,” Wilker said motioning for them to follow. “It will only take a micron.” Continue reading…
