“You’ll never control the planet or the Empire, you’re only a group of Alliance terrorists,” one in the group finally said looking at her with anger.

“I’m not from the Alliance,” Meia said finally. “I’m an Alpha Supreme class citizen.”

“Yeah right.”

“My father was Prince Boris,” Meia said to them watching as a few stopped talking and looked at her in disbleif.

“I find that hard to believe,” one finally said, something Meia knew she would have to prove.

“She’s telling the truth,” one person said from the resistance group. “She had her father’s abilities, his courage, and his eyes.” Continue reading…

The guard could only stand there speechless looking on at everything he heard.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to clean up the mess you’ve left behind,” Brandy said, firing on the guard.

Meia watched as her uncle pulled a PRG from the throne and returned fire at where Brandy had been standing only a few seconds earlier. Meia pointed her weapon at her uncle who turned and pointed his at her.  They stood there for several seconds, each looking at the other.

“Well, I see we have a standoff now, don’t be a fool Meia, lower your weapon now,” he said ina forceful order tone of voice. It might have worked years ago, but not today.

“For what, so you can clone me, experiment on me before putting me on trial for execution,” Meia replied back to him. “Why would I want to do that?  No, I’m taking the throne as the rightful ruler of the Empire and putting you on trial for the deaths of Prince Boris and Empress Teressa.” Continue reading…

Jezic listened to the reports coming in about the battle. So far he managed to hold the alliance back and jammed their communications to the surface.  It took some effort to place his fleet between the two and he wondered how long he could hold the position.  The Alliance had already sent several shuttles to the surface and now he wanted to prevent anymore.

“Admiral, we’ve lost the Valiant.”

“Tell the Indivisible to take the position,” Jezic ordered.

“The captain won’t like it,” the reply came back.

“He has no choice,” Jezic growled. Continue reading…

Meia acknowledged John’s good luck and turned her fighter towards the planet. This was the part she felt most nervous about, the upcoming battle on the ground.  The battle she fought in space was easy compared to this upcoming battle.

Moving her fighter into atmosphere she felt it jerk slightly as she encountered air resistance. Her ride down would get bumpier but noticed there were no storms going on in her descent.  She spotted the signal which would identify where she needed to go set up by the resistance, or so she hoped.

Flames erupted around her as she slowed down for atmospheric flight, not the high speed of space as it would rip the ship apart. The temperature inside stayed cool thanks to the shields of the Wolf II fighter.

“Blue one to shuttle group,” Meia said. Continue reading…

Jack watched the indicators of all planets closely for any problems. So far nothing new had happened as Chad brought up the news conference which Amy Barnes was holding.  He noticed she stood straight and patient despite the reports all around her.  Jack noticed Sally off to the side watching the Senator as she fielded several questions.

“Senator, are you saying the accusations being made against the military are untrue?” one reporter asked.

“Not only are they untrue, but the accusations by Senators Hanes and Amaio are dangerous to the safety of the Alliance,” Amy said, any further words were interrupted by another reporter who tried to barge in.

Jack watched Amy’s reaction to the interruption with annoyance. She placed a hand on the podium, glaring at the man for several seconds before he went quiet. Continue reading…

Randy stood on the bridge as the fleet got into position and looked at the countdown for the fleet to move out, which had been coordinated with the resistance groups on the ground. That meant the fleet would leave in twenty minutes to arrive on time.

“Admiral, the fleet is in position, ready to move out,” Kim said to him.

Randy looked over at her than down at the scanner showing the fleet in position for the jump. Each ship had their orders of where to arrive and what to do once they arrived.  It had taking some time to get everyone in position and ready when he noticed something else on the scanner which just appeared.

“Inform all ship, move out now,’ Randy said surprising everyone on the bridge.

“Admiral, that’s twenty minutes ahead of schedule,” Kim said to him. Continue reading…

Dave made his way to the meeting point as Greg instructed. He wondered if the mysterious contact would even be there this time. He made his way on over and leaned up against the wall in a dark area looking around to make sure no one else was around. It seemed awfully quiet at the moment, even more so than usual.

“You’re late,” the voice said causing him to jump slightly not expecting her so soon.

“Been busy,” Dave finally replied to be greeted with a chuckle.

“Things are heating up quickly, we must move now,” the voice said to him.

“What?” Dave asked unsure about this.

“Meia’s little military has been spotted, you’ve run out of time,” the reply came back. “Now is the time to move.” Continue reading…

Jack went up to the bridge of the Musashi having been summoned by the captain despite the fact he was on the way to the hangar to head to the surface. Jack noticed the bridge crew appeared calm at the moment so there was no invasion going on as he crossed over to the communications console.

“This report just came in from HQ for you admiral,” the captain said moving slightly for Jack to see.

He noticed the message came from Chad making him wonder what had happened now as his aide wouldn’t send anything unless it was necessary. He brought up the message and quickly scanned it though getting a funny feeling in his gut once more.  Standing up straight he paused to think before making any orders.

“Get me Admiral Hayes,” Jack said waiting a few moments before the screen flashed over to show Mark’s face on the screen.

“Admiral White, what can I do for you?” Mark asked. Continue reading…

Greg looked at Terry for several seconds after his statement. They both knew it to be the truth.  The alphas hadn’t done anything to improve things despite what they might say.

“Many don’t want to do anything because they are comfortable with their lives, or holding grudges or something like that,” Greg said

He watched Terry’s black reaction but hoped for something which might show what the man was thinking.

“We need a plan and we need it now,” Greg said. “Fighting among ourselves won’t help anything.  The problem is that the upper resistance groups are afraid to do anything and the lower groups are run by the emperor.  It doesn’t leave us with much.”

“No it doesn’t, we a few people,” Terry said. Continue reading…

“You wanted to see me?” Dave asked entering the room.

Greg motioned for him to have a seat watching as he closed the door and sat down. Greg needed to know about the situation of the other groups and if they could help or not.

“I need you to contact the lower resistance groups again. If the Alpha resistance group moves we’ll need the help of the lower groups to do all of this,” Greg said to him.

“So, you think they are going to help?” Dave asked.

“I don’t know, but they are considering it at the moment. If we move quickly it might help, especially considering the Emperor doesn’t know how widespread we are, only about the lower resistance cells.  He doesn’t know much about the upper class one,” Greg said to him.  “What about the Beta class resistance?” Continue reading…
