The Sith Empress – Part 12

Part 12

Jessica boarded the shuttle seeing both the pilot and guards were a bit nervous about everything which happened.  She was sure that they felt her battle against the Sith spirit and probably wondered what was going on, or if they should leave.  They both looked at her as she entered.

“Back to the ship,” she said.

“Yes my lord,” the pilot stammered as he moved to the bridge of the ship and the two guards entered and sat down.

Jessica headed to the back of the shuttle and sat down going over everything she knew.  So many old legends and forgotten technologies were out among the stars waiting for her to discover them.  She knew this time the technology might be a bit outdated, but it would be a start for her plans.

Landing on board the ship she spoke to no one making her way to the bridge.  Standing there was the captain along with Tyi who both watched as she entered and made her way over to the navigation charts. Continue reading…

Jessica made her way down to where the hangar was noticing how everyone around her seemed to stiffen as she walked by.  She noticed the pilots were nervous as she approached, as were the two guards nearby.  It felt empowering to know she instilled such fear with those around her.  She quickly told the pilot where she wanted to go and entered the shuttle and sat down.

The pilot had jumped a bit but quickly recovered as he followed her on board along with the others as the shuttle doors closed before taking off and heading towards the planet and the spot Jessica had pointed out.

The surface of the planet came into view as the shuttle entered the atmosphere.  Jessica directed the pilot further along as she was guided by the Force to where she had to go.  The shuttle landed close to some ruins.

“Wait for me here,” she said to them before exiting the shuttle and walked a short distance away. Continue reading…

A man turned and looked at the computer screen as an alert popped up indicating some unusual activity had occurred.  He kept a constant vigilance over such things otherwise they might be discovered and that could be a disaster.

Looking at the screen he noticed what had been searched, and it wasn’t the usual search this time, this was something different.  He had to give a warning to the others and let them figure out what they might do.  Leaving the room the screen still active, the words still flashed.

Walking down the corridor of the ship and the room where he knew their leader was.  He had in his hands the replies she had been waiting for and he hoped they were what she wanted.  Their leader had a temper and was not afraid to use it on anyone. Continue reading…

Luke walked around the house before finding Han out by the pool along with the children who were having some fun.

“Uncle Luke,” one said swimming to the side of the pool.

“Hey,” Luke said making his way over to where Han sat.

“So, what’s up kid?” Han asked already knowing something was up.

“I’m going to be headed back to the academy, got some new recruits which are scheduled to arrive and I want to be there,” Luke said to him.

“What about Gaia?” Han asked, not surprising Luke at all despite the fact they had not seen her much since arriving here.

“Well, I was wondering if you could bring her back a bit later,” Luke replied hoping he wasn’t putting any pressure on Han to do such a thing. Continue reading…

Luke watched as Gaia ate and wondered what might happen next with her before going over the conversation with his sister. She had not been convinced of anything and wanted more proof.  He hoped she might at least understand that something might be going on.  But he had to admit that convincing any of the others he would need proof that something was going on, and not vague feelings and a visit from an old Jedi Master.

He knew there were still some hard feeling regarding the Jedi, and the lies which the Emperor had spread during his reign. One of many things they had to try and overcome.  Perhaps setting up on Yavin IV wasn’t the best idea he had, but he would make it work.

He felt glad Gaia had accepted the offer from Leia to head over to the library. He had a feeling she had to do this on her own, he couldn’t help her in her research.  He probably would not recognize what she might be looking for.

They finished up and Leia and Gaia left the room leaving Han and Luke alone, the children not quite up yet. Continue reading…

Part 7

“My name is Darth Rizon,” Jessica said to the group watching their reactions, a few appeared shocked at the name especially when she mentioned ‘darth’. They all probably had heard legends considering how close they were to Sith tombs.  “Welcome to the new Sith.”

“Sith, don’t you mean Empire?” one asked having heard the name.

“No, I am not going to replace that old empire and its Sith leaders, the Emperor and Darth Vader,” Jessica said to them. “The current Empire is weak and clueless, its time for the Sith of old to rise up once more.”

The group murmured a bit at the news and she noticed more than a few were skeptical of her plan. However, it appeared several were willing if it got them off the planet.  She listened to a few of them waiting patiently in the middle of the conversations as they seemed to come to a consensus.  They would join her. Part 6

Gaia walked out of the room pondering what happened. She knew something strange had happened and something else she had not mentioned.  Once more the two strange women had appeared to her at the end of everything.  They were both dressed as Jedi would have several hundred years ago.  They seemed to look right at her, then at each other.  With deliberate actions Gaia watched as the taller one pulled the smaller one into a protective embrace.

It made no sense to her. As questions swirled in her mind which she knew neither Master Luke nor Fir-Tel would have any information about.  One area she considered might have the information was the Jedi Library on Coruscant, or what had survived of it.

She made her way towards the hangar area hoping to catch a ride to the capital. She noticed several ships in the area and then Master Skywalker who was near a ship making arrangements and a small ship nearby.  She headed towards him knowing it was worth a try.

“Master Skywalker,” she said approaching him and feeling a bit nervous when he turned her way. He was the greatest living Jedi after all. Continue reading…

Part 5

Jessica and Tyi made their way out of the city and towards the ancient tombs which were outside. An ancient relic of power of some Sith Lords of long ago.  Few people ventured out that way due to the danger, and most were explored so nothing of value was there, but she was headed beyond them, a place where there was a rumor of power.

The tall monuments of the Sith Lords almost appeared gaudy to her. All this work for something which meant nothing in the long run.  Broken down monuments which had no power inside, giving testimony to fallen and broken Sith Lords.  Some had statues at least twenty feet tall as they moved on though before reaching a small underused tomb.

Stopping she felt out feeling the power from inside, it was almost calling her. This was the right tomb, the place she needed to be.  The wind whipped up a bit more as she looked on.  She looked at the other tomb but had felt nothing from them.

“Are you sure this is the one?” Jessica asked. Continue reading…

Jessica turned to confront the blond-haired man who was the obvious leader of the gang. Using the Force she held up a hand and began to choke him, an easy enough task for someone like her.  The others now moved, many were backing away as they realized the power she wielded before she relented and the man dropped to the ground clutching his throat.

“What do you want?” he rasped looking up at her, his eyes fearful yet a hint of rebellion in them. He was not used to being treated in such a manner.

“This room,” Jessica replied calmly to him. “I want to avoid bloodstains on the carpet, they’re hard to get rid of.”

She felt the subtle shifts behind her with the realization they were drawing weapons. Spinning around she drew her lightsaber, the red blade coming to life even as they fired at her.  She deflected the shots watching as three men slumped to the ground, two appeared to still be alive, the third probably dead. Part 3

Gaia watched as Luke stopped next to her.

“Kyle tells me you did a remarkable job out there,” he said to her. She felt unsure what to say next except for a quick thanks.  She felt she had not done much as her style of fighting would hinder anything rather than help.  She looked on blushing slightly as Kyle came up to them.

“You fight pretty well, a defensive style but it suits you,” Kyle said to her.

She knew she was fighting a losing battle with a blush and tried to recover a bit to say something back. It wasn’t often you had to Jedi Masters offer you their praise, perhaps she wasn’t as weak as she thought she was.

“She uses her wits and skill first rather than her lightsaber,” Luke said looking at Kyle then back at Gaia. “I have a feeling you’ll make a great Jedi.” Continue reading…
