Part 17

Ann walked out of the restaurant trying to figure out a way she could get away from Randy for a few seconds to get a message to the nearby operatives. She casually glanced up and down the street knowing that Randy would be suspicious of anything she might do especially after the conversation they had early in the meal.  He was keeping a close eye on her and what she did.

She continued down the street towards the transportation back to the military base looking for a way to get away from Randy. Halfway there they passed a park and she spotted something which might work in her favor.  Quickly thinking it over she decided to go for it.

“I need to freshen up for a second, do you mind waiting?” Ann asked over at Randy watching his reaction as he gave it some thought.

“Sure,” he finally replied.

Ann turned away and headed to the park bathroom. She quickly headed through looking for the window, seeing that it seemed a bit too small for her to get through.  Now she had to rethink her plan as sneaking out through the window to reach her operatives now seemed unlikely. Continue reading…

Randy waited a few moments after everyone started to leave the conference room before turning to Meia.

“I’ll meet you back at the shuttle,” he told her waiting for her reply.

“Sure thing,” Meia answered, standing and heading out of the room with the rest. Randy turned towards his father who stood waiting for the rom to empty as he walked over to him.

“Quite an interesting mission I see,” he said to him.

“Yeah, there were a few times I didn’t think we’d make it back, or that the mission would even be close to any success,” Randy told him honestly.

“Well, I’ve learned not to underestimate either of you two,” Jack replied back to him. “Speaking of Meia, she looks different with her blonde hair.” Continue reading…

Henry made his way through the throne room thinking about what else he might do to his niece, Meia. She still had the fear which he instill in her when she was younger.  It made it easier for him to control her.  However, he also had to acknowledge something else had happened while she was in the Alliance.

The doctor stated she had been off the drug for several months, which did not surprise Henry at all. He looked up hearing the familiar footsteps of Jezic.  He saw the tall admiral entering the room dressed in the familiar fatigues.

“What’s the news admiral?” Henry asked.

“We have information that one of the ships of the Alliance was destroyed,” Jezic said.

“One out of four, not the best record I see,” Henry said. “It’s a good thing I’m in a good mood today.” Continue reading…

Meia glanced around her cell once more. They had taken her out a few times to do something.  She wondered how long they would keep her around before finally killing her.  She had yet to figure out a way to escape.  Trapped and under her uncle’s mercy caused her a bit of despair.

The door opened again allowing a small sliver of light into the cell. She saw the dust particles floating in the ray of light.  The figure of her uncle appeared again.  Meia figure he3 came around for his dose of torment and enjoyment.  It was the only logical explanation she could come up with.

“Well, well, you’re probably wondering what I’ve got in store for you little one,” she heard him say as she backed up a bit but said nothing. “Still the talkative one.  That’s all right, you’ll be here for a bit longer, I’ve got a use for you.  I’ve had a lot of plans for you since the first day I saw you.  You have all the characteristics of the Cimal family, blonde hair, blue eyes, skillful, fast, everything.”

Meia struggled against her irrational fear to try and listen to his words. She wanted to flee from him despite the fact he seemed talkative and willing to give her the information.

“I always had a plan for you. I planned out your entire life, then you had to be tested and I should have expected it, after all my brother was what he was, an exceptional pilot as well,” he grinned.  “Bet you didn’t know that.” Continue reading…

Yvette waited in her captain office for Meia to report in. She was told that only one person was on board the shuttle and now she wondered what happened to Victor.  They both went down to the surface of the planet.  Had they discovered something useful in their fight against the Cimalian Empire?

Before she could ponder the question anymore the door opened allowing a woman with strawberry blonde hair to enter. Yvette’s first reaction had been shock before she look a bit closer to see the blue eyes.

“You wanted to see me captain,” the woman asked, and Yvette realized she was Meia with blonde hair.

“I wanted to make sure you were all right,” Yvette said, pausing a second before asking the question on her mind. “What happened to Victor?”

“He didn’t make it,” Meia replied. Continue reading…

Jezic made his way to the throne room having been summoned by the Emperor. He seemed to spend more time there than anywhere else lately.  He hoped the Emperor would finally explain what his plan was before it drove Jezic crazy.  He noticed several additional people in the room, one wearing a cloak and hiding their face but he from the posture of the body a short woman.

“Ah, admiral, you’re in time for the reveal,” the Emperor said making a sweeping motion with his hands towards the group.

“Sire, I’m not sure I understand,” Jezic replied looking at him and then to the others.

“You will admiral,’ Henry said as he walked over to the woman pulling her cloak aside allowing Jezic to view the face of the person. He looked on a bit stunned by the face before him.

“What? Why is she not restrained?” Jezic stated glancing at the guards nearby.  “It’s dangerous letting Meia loose like this.”

“I am not Meia,” the woman in front of him said. Continue reading…

Welcome 2016

A New Year has dawned bring with it hope.

In the new year I do have plans for uploading the remaining stories which were taken down from the domain move.

As for new stories, look for a Buck Rogers story, a reworked Battlestar Galactica/Matrix story, hopefully a finished third story of the Independence day/BSG trilogy to go with the completed Cimalian Princes trilogy (third story is completing a rework now).

Also in the works is a complete rework of the fantasy story I’m working on, completion of another original sci-fi story to go with a new BSG story that I’m working on.

New stories are popping up in my mind now frequently, so stay tuned, the new year should be wonderful with fanfiction and original stories.

May you be blessed in 2016.

AJ

Goodbye 2015

Well, can’t say I’m disappointed to see this year go by.  It hasn’t been a nice one to me.

From a website standpoint, it was horrible as well, but a time for new beginnings.  It started with the old site and where I had it hosted.  I got fed up with the way the company was working, so I decided to transfer it to the company which hosts www.kittylaughs.com, my other blog.

What normally would have been an easy affair turned into a nightmare (add in my back, surgery, rehab), and the old domain was passed away.  I thought I could easily re-register the name, but someone else bought it.  No way was I going to spend money to get it back, so registered a new name, ajscifistories.com.  Things are getting back to normal as the old stories are rewritten and posted again.

Healthwise, not a good year.  A cold, turned into back pain, which almost paralyzed me.  Ended up in surgery (on both the back and a lung) at the end of March and had 8 months of therapy.

So, goodbye 2015, you don’t need to write back, I’m not going to miss you.

Henry glanced down at his niece who passed out. He smiled at the sight before him satisfied with the fact she was still terrified of him.  Her training was still intact.  He turned to one of the guards.  “Take her way to the lab.”

He made his way back to the throne thinking about all he wanted. He hoped the process would not take too long.  The scientists said the process was complete and perfected now he would find out if that was true.  He turned his attention back to Jezic who still appeared confused about the situation.  The admiral probably thought Meia was a risk to the entire Empire.

“I see you still don’t approve admiral,” Henry said sitting down on the throne again. He looked at him waiting

“No sire I don’t. She’s proven to be unreliable like her mother and father.  She would make a terrible heir no matter what methods you use on her,” Jezic said to Henry. Continue reading…

Part 10

Meia made her way along the streets with Victor close behind her. She took note of the empty streets, which concerned her especially considering the traffic earlier.  Had she missed out on a curfew in place?  She hurried along knowing a couple of more streets they would be headed back into the forest and the shuttle.

The echo of footsteps behind her did not match Victors. Turning she froze to listen as Victor stopped as well.  She looked at the shadows, watching for any change.  The footsteps continued despite her wanting them to pass her by.

“Over here!”

Her eyes went wide at the shout, but what shocked her even more wasn’t that it came from the group but Victor. The street lit up momentarily blinding her as she shielded her eyes trying to see something.

“Surrender at once,” a commanding voice said. Continue reading…
