Zoe looked on as the man behind the counter placed down the glass he was cleaning and looked over at them.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeah, what are you shouting for?\u201d he asked, cleaning his hands and making his way over.\u00a0 \u201cIf you want something to drink let me know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe watched unsure what was going on as Leah waited for OMB to walk over to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust come over here,\u201d Leah said waving him over waiting until he crouched down next to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, I\u2019m here, what\u2019s going on?\u201d he asked, looking at Leah.<\/p>\n

\u201cZoe here says you sent her a letter,\u201d Leah said pointing to her.\u00a0 She watched as an unusual expression covered his face.<\/p>\n

\u201cZoe?\u201d he said, now looking at her.\u00a0 \u201cZoe Scotlite?\u00a0 From Cyrodiil?\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, yeah,\u201d Zoe replied, now feeling slightly uneasy with his attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d he said, standing and seemed to sniff the air.\u00a0 \u201cI thought things were slightly different in the past few minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now Zoe felt confused.\u00a0 She looked over at Lydia who merely looked on waiting as well from where she sat in the bath.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t mean to sound rude, but what is going on?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we get everyone here,\u201d OMB said looking at the others.<\/p>\n

Zoe waited watching as a few more girls wondered into the open area and some came down the stairs.\u00a0 So there was an upstairs as well.\u00a0 She looked around and counted seven girls including Leah now around the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s up OMB?\u201d a blonde with a ponytail asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d a few others chimed in as Zoe noticed one of the girls was an elf, which surprised her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll right, just thought you might want to be here when I make this announcement,\u201d OMB said sitting down in a chair.\u00a0 \u201cAs you all know there is no current owner.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, that\u2019s been a concern for us all,\u201d one with short, spiky black hair said, and Zoe thought her to be a Breton, like Leah.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell our search is now over,\u201d OMB said with a smile and looking at Zoe.<\/p>\n

Zoe had a strange feeling she suddenly would be tossed into this situation.\u00a0 They probably wanted her to find some long lost owner.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou said only a special person can be the owner,\u201d Leah said speaking up.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, you never mentioned why that is, but something about a pact, but wouldn\u2019t elaborate,\u201d the blonde said.<\/p>\n

Now Zoe had an uneasy feeling but continued listening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, here is our new owner, Zoe Scatlite,\u201d OMB said, looking right at Zoe who merely coughed at that statement.<\/p>\n

She would be the owner of a luxury suite?\u00a0 She had no clue about business, or how to run one.\u00a0 And she knew of no one in her family who had such a business.\u00a0 This had to be some sort of prank.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer?\u201d a few others seemed to ask.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I imagine that summon by the Greybeards was directed at you?\u201d OMB asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, yeah,\u201d Zoe replied, unsure how he would know that.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see, only a Dragonborn can own this place and make it run properly,\u201d OMB stated.\u00a0 \u201cYou have doubts, come with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe stood and made her way out of the bath sharing a look with Lydia who hadn\u2019t said anything.\u00a0 The other girls all seemed to be watching, judging her on something which she had no idea what.\u00a0 He tossed her a towel and she dried off and put on a dress another girl handed her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, where are we going?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cBasement,\u201d OMB said, moving along and down a trapdoor.\u00a0 The others all stayed above the ground.<\/p>\n

The downstairs room had a bed, and a large smelting area, a bit odd considering it was indoors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhose bed?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cFarquar\u2019s, says its peaceful down here,\u201d OMB replied with a shrug.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, where are we going?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot us, you,\u201d OMB said to her confusing her.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019m not too sure about this,\u201d Zoe replied, stating some concerns over what he wanted her to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo not worry, you will return unharmed,\u201d OMB said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll right,\u201d Zoe replied, opening the door to reveal a large bluish orb thing.\u00a0 She had never seen anything like it before in all her life.\u00a0 She looked back to see that OMB had left.\u00a0 Looking back in front of her she wondered what this thing was.\u00a0 Moving forward she was cautious, unsure what she was getting into.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can smell your energy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe froze, looking at the, well, thing and then around the room making sure no one else was there before replying.\u00a0 It seemed to be a large ball or energy, or magic or something.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWill you make the pact, like the others before you Dovahkin?\u00a0 Like Ymir?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ymir, the name rolled around in Zoe\u2019s mind for several seconds.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalos?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, before he was General Talos, Ymir found me, and made the contact.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, what is the contract?\u201d Zoe asked, unsure what this entity meant.\u00a0 She had no idea if it was male or female despite having a very female voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will drink, for I am always thirsty,\u201d It replied. \u00a0\u201cI will not harm you.\u00a0 Your man Farquar knows me, as does the other man, but they cannot make the contract.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd by making the contract, I become owner of this place?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, for only the dovankin can make the contract,\u201d it replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho are you?\u201d Zoe asked, unsure still what it was, wanting some more information before making a decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the Bride of Migal,\u201d it replied back to her.<\/p>\n

Zoe gave it some thought, going over what it said to her.\u00a0 What was this contract, and what did it mean to drink?<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is this contract, you \u2018drink\u2019, but what do I get out of it?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can transport you back here at almost any time you wish,\u201d it replied.<\/p>\n

Zoe\u2019s eyebrows rose at that.\u00a0 She could see where that might be very useful in her travels, especially when coming back.\u00a0 But what was this drinking it spoke of?<\/p>\n

\u201cIt won\u2019t harm me, this drinking?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d it replied.\u00a0 \u201cBut I am always thirsty.\u00a0 I drink from your energy, you call it magic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe considered it for a few seconds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWill you make the contract?\u201d it asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d Zoe replied.<\/p>\n

In seconds she felt drained, but only tired as if she had used up a great deal of magic.\u00a0 Like it had told her, and she knew the spell to transport her back here.\u00a0 Otherwise she felt fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cMmm, thank you, come back often,\u201d it stated.\u00a0 \u201cFor I am always thirsty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will,\u201d Zoe said before moving back to the main room, closing the doors and heading back upstairs where everyone else seemed to be waiting.\u00a0 She noticed there were seven girls, Lydia, Farquar and OMB standing there waiting to see what was going on.<\/p>\n

Zoe walked over to where they were all seated and looked over at OMB.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you understand more now?\u201d OMB asked.\u00a0 \u201cOnly one like you may be the owner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe had a feeling he was speaking of the Bride of Migal, whatever it was.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, a bit more,\u201d Zoe replied.<\/p>\n

OMB seemed to look around, smelling the air before looking back at her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it appears you have come to an agreement with being the owner,\u201d OMB said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes all this have to do with the locked room downstairs?\u201d Leah asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, there are some things which are only for the owner,\u201d OMB replied.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve been over this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, but still,\u201d Leah replied, obviously curious about what was back there.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs owner, I\u2019ll be needing your help,\u201d Zoe said to them, watching as the conversation turned and they looked at her.\u00a0 \u201cHey, I know nothing about running a business.\u201d<\/p>\n

She saw a few people who seemed hesitant at her admission.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never run one before,\u201d Zoe said to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we can teach her, while running the suite as we always have,\u201d OMB said to them all.\u00a0 \u201cAlso, being Dragonborn she was summoned by the Greybeards.\u00a0 I think you\u2019ll be busy running around all over Skyrim.\u00a0 You can think of this as your base of operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe gave it some thought, it did sound nice, a place to come back to relax, and larger than her house in Whiterun.\u00a0 She also noticed that the others didn\u2019t seem to object to that too much.\u00a0 Probably meant she wouldn\u2019t be here much allowing a transition slowly instead of all at once.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink I should get a tour around the place,\u201d Zoe said, she wanted to get an impression of what all she suddenly became an owner of.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood idea, perhaps one of you can,\u201d OMB said to the girls.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can,\u201d Leah said quickly.<\/p>\n

Zoe gave her a smile.<\/p>\n

OMB returned back to the bar and seemed to go and finish up his washing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll start with this right here, our main attraction, the bath,\u201d Leah said.\u00a0 \u201cWe offer food and drink as well, and a small eating place as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe looked around seeing that everything appeared well taken care of and clean.<\/p>\n

\u201cBehind the bar, that\u2019s where we cook and there are two beds, usually Rashaal and I share that room to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRashaal?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s the Redguard,\u201d Leah replied.\u00a0 \u201cThe blonde Nord is Wyla, the other Nord is Trudy, both have been here a couple of years. We also have two other Bretons, Rayna, who also has black hair, and Estria.\u00a0 And Elise who is a dark elf.\u201d<\/p>\n

That surprised Zoe a bit as she turned to look at the elf.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, don\u2019t mention the Thalmor around her, seems as if she had a run in with them in her past,\u201d Leah said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo problem,\u201d Zoe replied, knowing she had her own problems with the Thalmor.\u00a0 Just the mentioning of them brought up another problem she had a feeling she might get involved in, the Stormcloak rebellion.\u00a0 She wasn\u2019t sure about the Empire side as they seemed to support the Thalmor, yet she had been befriended by an imperial soldier who helped her out.\u00a0 He was the reason she was here now.<\/p>\n

She focused again on the tour, as they headed to the side opposite the bar where she spotted a couple of beds, and a staircase leading to the basement.\u00a0 Instead they headed up, giving her a look at a several beds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have several who stay the night on their travels,\u201d Leah said.\u00a0 \u201cAnd we use the beds as well.\u00a0 On the other side is the owner, I mean, your bed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe didn\u2019t bother to correct her, but noticed another level.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s up there?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, even more beds,\u201d Leah replied.\u00a0 \u201cWe have beds all over the place, one of the largest lodgings in Skyrim.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe wondered how many beds there were.\u00a0 It looked like several already as they walked across the building towards another seating area.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is part of the owner\u2019s area,\u201d Leah said as Zoe noticed an enchanting table and a bit of a closed area which had a double bed.\u00a0 \u201cThe owner\u2019s bed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoe took a second to take in the room.\u00a0 The bed looked very inviting, and the small area off to the side where she could store her armor and other belongings.\u00a0 Things looked very different compared to when she left the Imperial City only earlier in the month.\u00a0 She now was considered the owner of this suite.\u00a0 It almost sounded too good to be true.<\/p>\n

Zoe flopped down into the bed before looking over at Leah.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not quite happy about this are you?\u201d Zoe asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, well,\u201d Leah stopped at her protest and seemed to think about the question.\u00a0 \u201cI guess I expected someone else, or something else.\u00a0 I mean, the last owner was an older man, not someone, well, so young.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I\u2019m only twenty-five seasons,\u201d Zoe replied, not sure she should be insulted or not.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not that, but I think we all expected someone older than that, more like forty or so,\u201d Leah said.\u00a0 \u201cAnd a male.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re disappointed because I\u2019m female?\u201d Zoe asked, sitting up in the bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, no, it\u2019s, well we all had expatiations, had some visual image in our minds and you didn\u2019t fit any of that,\u201d Leah replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs that good or bad?\u201d Zoe questioned taking a better look at the dark-haired beauty in front of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you are beautiful,\u201d Leah stated as she looked Zoe over.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot used to that, and I figure I\u2019ll be on adventures, don\u2019t think this visit to the Greybeards will be the end of whatever is going on,\u201d Zoe said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis can be your homebase,\u201d Leah said repeating what OMB had said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIts quite large, has all the things I need, and I\u2019ll probably be doing some dungeon diving,\u201d Zoe replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can sell what you bring back,\u201d Leah stated.\u00a0 \u201cIt will expand our reputation.\u00a0 And really, we\u2019ll be here to operate it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I wasn\u2019t about to change anything,\u201d Zoe stated.\u00a0 The idea of going out on her adventures and returning here to such a place seemed to brighten her future.\u00a0 Perhaps coming to Skyrim had been a good thing after all.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on, give me the rest of the tour,\u201d Zoe said, getting off the bed and walking with Leah back down and into the basement where there were was a larger table to eat at, a larger bar, and side rooms full of beds.<\/p>\n
