Part 12<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Jessica boarded the shuttle seeing both the pilot and guards were a bit nervous about everything which happened.\u00a0 She was sure that they felt her battle against the Sith spirit and probably wondered what was going on, or if they should leave.\u00a0 They both looked at her as she entered.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack to the ship,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes my lord,\u201d the pilot stammered as he moved to the bridge of the ship and the two guards entered and sat down.<\/p>\n

Jessica headed to the back of the shuttle and sat down going over everything she knew.\u00a0 So many old legends and forgotten technologies were out among the stars waiting for her to discover them.\u00a0 She knew this time the technology might be a bit outdated, but it would be a start for her plans.<\/p>\n

Landing on board the ship she spoke to no one making her way to the bridge.\u00a0 Standing there was the captain along with Tyi who both watched as she entered and made her way over to the navigation charts.<\/p>\n

\u201cHead here,\u201d she said pointing to a spot.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy lord, you do know that\u2019s uncharted space, we don\u2019t have the maps to navigate safely there,\u201d he said to her.<\/p>\n

She pulled out a small data crystal and placed it into the computer console.\u00a0 \u201cYou do now captain, set your course,\u201d she said to him looking him in the eyes as he looked at her then the data.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes my lord,\u201d he finally said heading over to navigation as the officers there began the calculations with the new data.<\/p>\n

\u201cTyi, let me know when we arrive,\u201d Jessica said turning to walk off the bridge.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes my lord,\u201d Tyi said hesitating.\u00a0 It meant he had more information to tell her causing her to turn and look at him.\u00a0 \u201cThere is one more thing I\u2019d like to discuss with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is it,\u201d Jessica said annoyed that he might be hesitating on an important step in her conquest of space.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur spies are reporting that Tavion, Desann\u2019s follower, has regrouped with the remains of his followers and started her own attacks.\u00a0 Would it not be best if we didn\u2019t join her?\u201d Tyi asked, his words cautious.<\/p>\n

\u201cTavion is a weak fool,\u201d Jessica replied to him.\u00a0 \u201cHave our spies begun recruiting from her group as well.\u00a0 When she falls they\u2019ll come willingly to me and it will be just as I have seen it.\u201d<\/p>\n

With that she turned and continued down the corridor leaving him standing there watching her.<\/p>\n

Tyi turned and headed back onto the bridge where the captain moved over to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think she really knows what she\u2019s doing?\u201d he asked him.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I think she does,\u201d Tyi said back to him, slightly afraid she might somehow hear their conversation and doubt.\u00a0 \u201cI think she has all the pieces she was looking for.\u00a0 It\u2019s only a matter of time now before she moves.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care what she does with the New Republic, as long as she crushes the remains of the Imperial forces,\u201d the captain said with malice in his voice.<\/p>\n

Tyi looked on thoughtfully at the captain who like most of the crew didn\u2019t care for either the Republic or what remained of the Empire.\u00a0 That would probably be to their advantage especially considering they managed to nab a few officers from both sides which were disillusioned by their superiors.\u00a0 It was that group where the captain of this ship had been found, dishonorably discharged for wanting to do more against the Empire forces.<\/p>\n

Tyi finished his work and nodded at the captain who, along with the bridge crew, had finished imputing the data from the crystal.\u00a0 The captain gave the command to jump and a few minutes later the ship\u2019s hyperspace engines sprang to life and the ship jumped.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you think will be waiting for us?\u201d the captain asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have a clue,\u201d Tyi replied seeing the others on the bridge were look on as well.\u00a0 They all seemed anxious to know the answer to the question as well.\u00a0 Lord Rizon had not been to forthcoming with such information, even to him.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Percy walked back into the office where he knew the head of his group waited to hear the news.\u00a0 The man behind the desk glanced up as Percy entered the room and sat down despite the fact he had only been gone for a short amount of time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened?\u201d the man asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s one,\u201d Percy replied.\u00a0 \u201cAnd I think she\u2019s, well, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cConvince me then,\u201d the man replied setting aside the computer and focusing on him.<\/p>\n

Percy related his observations on the Jedi he was to watch.\u00a0 She had been easy to spot, long blonde hair and a really gentle way about her despite the fact she wore a lightsaber under her clothes.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t obvious but he saw it.\u00a0 He had been watching trying to figure out how to introduce himself when she packed up and suddenly stopped, her eyes wide.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was getting something very strong with her connection, and whatever happened I feared she was losing her other half,\u201d Percy said recalling the look on the woman\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you sure?\u201d the man asked wanting to know more.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, she reminded me of you last year in the hospital,\u201d Percy said knowing that he would recall what happened last year, with his wife and how close that had been.\u00a0 \u201cShe had no idea what is going on, fear she needs some information.\u201d<\/p>\n

He seemed to ponder the information for several seconds.\u00a0 Percy knew if the connection was already this strong how many times had they met and didn\u2019t know.\u00a0 Or, as in a few rare occasions the bonding could happen without the two even knowing, merely passing each other could do it.\u00a0 Such bondings were rare, and were also an indication that the souls were old, very old.\u00a0 And if they were talking about a certain two, he wouldn\u2019t put it past them.<\/p>\n

\u201cBring her to me, we\u2019ll tell her a bit of what is going on,\u201d he finally said to Percy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou won\u2019t regret it,\u201d Percy said.<\/p>\n

Percy headed out of the room to get the Jedi.<\/p>\n

He returned a short time later with the woman, having been able to persuade her easily to come with him.\u00a0 She seemed to want to know what was going on and was thirsty for any information they could give her.\u00a0 She entered the room and sat down looking at them both as Percy waited to see what he might tell her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome,\u201d the man behind the desk said, smiling at her.\u00a0 \u201cOnly a few select people are every allowed inside our society, and for good reasons.\u00a0 We\u2019ve learned from experience that exposing ourselves to the outside world can have dire consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen why am I here?\u201d Gaia asked, still looking confused at everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is much to say, but you are not quite ready for such information, and it could be dangerous for us right now,\u201d the man replied back to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho are you?\u201d Gaia asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I go any further, I must ask you that whatever you are told be held in the strictest confidence.\u00a0 Leaking this information could endanger many people,\u201d the man said to her.<\/p>\n

Gaia appeared to think about it for a few seconds before replying.\u00a0 \u201cI will.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first question, why are you looking for information about Jedi Master Bri Lightner,\u201d the man asked.<\/p>\n

Percy thought he saw Gaia look a bit more interested suddenly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a vision of two women I thought were Jedi which led me to my research here,\u201d Gaia replied.\u00a0 \u201cIn it I discovered the name and it felt right and that it could be important to finding out who they were.\u00a0 I thought one of them had to be her.\u00a0 I was also looking for information about the other woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are right, It is another woman,\u201d he told her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWere they married?\u201d Gaia asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey shared a connection which went beyond marriage,\u201d he said to her and Percy could tell she didn\u2019t quite understand but they were used to that.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, they were a couple and in love?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than love,\u201d he replied to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen do you have any information about her which might help me?\u201d Gaia asked as Percy watched as he sat back and thought about it for several seconds.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven we do not have much information on them, we do know where they were buried,\u201d he finally said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cPerhaps there is something there which can help me out,\u201d Gaia stated looking interested.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere might be,\u201d he said handing her a data crystal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to get back and pack, I\u2019m headed back to the academy,\u201d Gaia said standing up.\u00a0 \u201cThanks for this bit of information.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand,\u201d the man said, pausing.\u00a0 \u201cWhen its all over, you\u2019ll understand more and realize why we couldn\u2019t say much, its dangerous, as is your partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPartner?\u201d Gaia asked confused.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you understand you\u2019ll know more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

She paused looking at him before finally with a slight bow left the room leaving them alone.\u00a0 Percy looked on wondering what happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou didn\u2019t tell her?\u201d Percy asked taking a seat.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, it\u2019s a dangerous time for them, she will have to find out on her own,\u201d the man replied.\u00a0 \u201cIt is as they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut she\u2019s already connected,\u201d Percy said recalling what he saw.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf she was she would have understood Bri and Xara\u2019s connection,\u201d he said putting a file away.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you think she\u2019ll find what she\u2019s looking for?\u201d Percy asked after a moment of silence.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, and if the files are right, the sooner the better for all of us,\u201d he said to him.\u00a0 \u201cThey are a dangerous pair, perhaps the most dangerous two of our kind.\u00a0 We must wait to see which side wins, which side is strongest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Percy wasn\u2019t sure about that but remained quiet hoping he would find out.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are unconvinced,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201dNo, just, well, concerned is all, if we want one to win, why not tell her?\u201d Percy said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause, she will not be strong enough if we do,\u201d he told him.\u00a0 \u201cThe bard must be strong in heart, she is strong from what I\u2019ve read of her, we cannot upset the balance.\u00a0 The times we have, she lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you\u2019re working on history,\u201d Percy stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, and they make a formidable foe when combined, whether for good or bad,\u201d he said to Percy.\u00a0 \u201cI hope the universe is ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Tyi watched the streaks of light go by as the ship sped through hyperspace towards an unknown sector of space.\u00a0 He and the captain already wondered about what they might discover upon arriving at the spot.\u00a0 Darth Rizon gave them an order to head there and they assumed questions would be answered after they got there.<\/p>\n

\u201cTyi,\u201d the captain said breaking him out of his musings.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re about to arrive at our destination.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI[\u2018ll let Darth Rizon know,\u201d he said with a nod, heading over to the intercom system and relayed the message to her.\u00a0 She told him that she would be on the bridge shortly.<\/p>\n

Tyi look on as the captain joined him looking out there and watching as shortly the ship dropped out of hyperspace.\u00a0 He looked out at first not seeing anything around him at all.\u00a0 It took a few seconds before the scanner operator spoke up.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting contacts of ships,\u201d he said to the captain and Tyi, who looked on in a bit of shock at what he had heard.<\/p>\n

He looked back out again and this time was able to see the form of a ship close by.\u00a0 Even as he looked on it reminded him of a claw, two halves that were shaped the same with a spce in the middle.\u00a0 They seemed a bit familiar to hi but couldn\u2019t place the type.<\/p>\n

\u201cSith battleships,\u201d the report came in.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere must be a lot out there,\u201d Tyi said as he noticed another one.<\/p>\n

At that moment Darth Rizon walked onto the bridge and looked around and then looked out the window.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome gentlemen to my warfleet.\u201d<\/p>\n
