Part 20<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lynn made her way into her house and sat down after a long two days.\u00a0 She had stayed at the palace for two nights, as yesterday had been quite hectic.\u00a0 Now she was glad to return home and some normalization.\u00a0 Guards for the area had been doubled for now, and many palace employees lived in the area stated they would keep an eye out for any intruders and paparazzi.<\/p>\n

Taking out a beer she sat down and turned on the TV flipping through till she found a movie and not anything about her on the news.\u00a0 Taking out her phone she flipped though several reading the ones from Brea first.\u00a0 She was excited and wanted a selfie with her and Elsa.\u00a0 She also mentioned that reporters had come around and began talking to them and sent one to all of them.<\/p>\n

No embarrassing stories, or no selfie.<\/em><\/p>\n

She flipped to Hans who stated her was merely annoyed with the reporters, kept him from his classes yesterday.\u00a0 He also was wondering when she might return his texts.<\/p>\n

Was busy, didn\u2019t look at my phone until now.<\/em><\/p>\n

With that sent off she looked at Jessica\u2019s texts.\u00a0 Normal, wanting a picture of the princess, or both of them as well.\u00a0 She also mentioned how Marshmallow and Olaf had come by and informed them of what to expect being Lynn\u2019s friends.<\/p>\n

Lynn sent off a quick text to Kristoff and the other two thanking them for what they did before replying to Jessica.<\/p>\n

So, is Brea seeing Marshmallow?<\/em><\/p>\n

The first to reply was Hans.<\/p>\n

Envy you, saw the Princess in that outfit, and had your arm around her, what a photo!<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn shook her head, it seemed to be the thing everyone was talking about.\u00a0 And it was something which had everyone talking about how cute they looked together.<\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t plan that, just did it.<\/em><\/p>\n

She switched as Kristoff replied no problem and something that Marshmallow was happy to help before Jessica replied.<\/p>\n

Yes they are, not official but they spend a lot of time texting and he comes by often.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn chuckled at that as Brea finally replied.<\/p>\n

Spoilsport.\u00a0 Reporters are annoying.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn could only imagine before Brea sent another text.<\/p>\n

College banned all reporters, they were disrupting classes.\u00a0 Though, rumor was they spoke with Kris.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn frowned wondering what her ex had to say about her knowing she would probably find out.\u00a0 They could deal with it later on.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s a lying, two-timing bitch.\u00a0 Besides, she\u2019s already mentioned as cheater in how I met Elsa.<\/em><\/p>\n

True, she had mentioned the reason she had gone on the trip by herself was her caught her then girlfriend cheating on her.\u00a0 She really wasn\u2019t too worried about her as Hans replied.<\/p>\n

It looked planned, and Elsa\u2019s outfit, the talk of the campus.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn wondered how Elsa might feel about that.\u00a0 She felt sure several websites were already having fun with the photos.\u00a0 Before all this, Lynn might have looked it up as well, but this time, she had even more. \u00a0She sent off to the others she was going to bed as she finished off her beer and flipped off the TV as her phone buzzed again from Elsa<\/p>\n

No problems getting back?<\/em><\/p>\n

Nope, nice and quiet, about to head to bed, gotta go back to work tomorrow.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sweet dreams.<\/em><\/p>\n

You too.<\/em><\/p>\n

She tossed the can into the recycler and headed to the bedroom wondering how work would go tomorrow.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Lynn exited the security vehicle which took her to work.\u00a0 A security measure provided by the king for a little while until things settled down a bit.\u00a0 Moving into the palace she was surprised to be hugged but quickly recognized who it was, Elsa.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs this how I\u2019m to be greeted coming to work, I might not mind it anymore,\u201d Lynn replied returning the hug, and giving her a quick kiss.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, if we can\u2019t take advantage of seeing each other in this situation why bother.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGood point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynn made her way down the hallway holding Elsa\u2019s hand.\u00a0 It felt nice to be able to do this openly as they continued on down, Elsa mentioning what she had up today.\u00a0 Some meetings and listening in on a negotiation with the king and a representative with another empire.<\/p>\n

\u201cGee, you make my day sound boring,\u201d Lynn replied.\u00a0 \u201cAll I\u2019m doing is working on what the next exhibit will be with Lance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe could switch?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, no, I think I\u2019d probably create some sort of interspace war or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

At that Elsa laughed as they turned to the museum and headed to her office.\u00a0 Lynn spotted a few co-workers who stopped and stared as they walked past.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I think that will take a while to get used to,\u201d Lynn stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople stopping to stare as we walk by.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I guess I don\u2019t notice it, used to it happening,\u201d Elsa replied as they walked into Lynn\u2019s office, which her boss was waiting for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, boss,\u201d Lynn said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrincess Elsa, Lynn,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, Mr. Peters isn\u2019t it,\u201d Elsa said<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, as usual, your ability to recall names is like your father,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cI wanted to make sure my employee made it in okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo problem,\u201d Lynn replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood,\u201d Lance said, turning to Elsa.\u00a0 \u201cPrincess, I appreciate it all, and I know young love can be, interesting, but perhaps drop her off before entering the museum.\u00a0 The staff isn\u2019t used to seeing you around as much.\u00a0 They do have work to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynn watched Elsa think about that.\u00a0 \u201cI guess I can, if only to keep the work environment happy,\u201d she replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt least he\u2019s not banishing you,\u201d Lynn replied, giving Elsa a bump with her hip.\u00a0 \u201cAnd the way you come over so often you\u2019ll never miss me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, no more sneaking over,\u201d he said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Elsa said.\u00a0 \u201cBut I\u2019ll still visit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I should get to work, and you to whatever meeting you have,\u201d Lynn said, giving Elsa a slight kiss as she walked back to the palace.<\/p>\n

\u201cReady to start your new day, as the princess\u2019 girlfriend?\u201d Lance asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d Lynn said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, come on, we have a meeting to attend in thirty minutes, I\u2019ll bring you up to speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She followed Lance out of the room and to his office where the meeting would occur.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Lynn walked back through the staff area after the meeting seeing a familiar face, Nick, one of the younger workers.\u00a0 She made her way to the fridge to take out a drink wondering when he might finally say something.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuess you think you\u2019re so smart, eh?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout what?\u201d Lynn asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cRead up all about you, miss niece to a gangster,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou mean the bastard,\u201d Lynn answered back.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd how about that police report, getting into a fight with your ex like that,\u201d Nick stated. That statement caused Lynn to frown, she had no idea what he was talking about this time.\u00a0 She never called the police on her ex.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou still listening to rumors?\u201d another worker asked Nick as he walked in.\u00a0 \u201cTold you to stop listening to that trash news station.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey at least give the truth,\u201d Nick replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, falsely, you know she wasn\u2019t even there when that incident occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happened where she was staying, how could she have missed it,\u201d Nick answered back.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf those reporters had done any research they\u2019d know she wasn\u2019t even there, but with Princess Elsa at that time,\u201d the older man replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you talking about when my roommate, Mary, called the police on her ex-boyfriend and my ex who were getting into a fight?\u201d Lynn asked, recalling a bit about it from a few others.\u00a0 \u201cAfter it was discovered my ex had been sleeping with my roommate for six months, cheating on both me and her boyfriend?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSee, she does know, a bit tacky eh?\u201d Nick said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was on vacation, and having fun with the princesses,\u201d Lynn replied back to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you say so, I\u2019ll believe those reporters,\u201d Nick said.<\/p>\n

With that he walked out of the room in a huff.\u00a0 It was obvious he thought she lied to him about it all as she and the other guy looked at each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t let him bother you, he\u2019s not really know by everyone for his smarts,\u201d the guy said to her.\u00a0 \u201cHe gets something into his mind and won\u2019t let it go no matter how wrong he is.\u00a0 He got a story from your ex on one of the trash news sites and thinks its real no matter how much evidence you give him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat,\u201d Lynn replied, realizing she had encountered her first rumor, and probably not her last.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, your uncle is really that gangster?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately,\u201d Lynn replied.\u00a0 She recalled what he had said to her upon leaving her.\u00a0 He was a bastard and though knowing the truth keeping the illusion would be best for them all and easy for her maintain.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, gangster, now a princess, can\u2019t believe it,\u201d he said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo,\u201d Lynn stated, taking a sip of water, \u201cwhat else have you heard?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, nothing much, I tend to stay away from those sites,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lynn felt her phone buzz and looked to see a text from Hans.<\/p>\n

I see Kris is being her normal self.<\/em><\/p>\n

I just heard.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cFriend, or the princess?\u201d the question came.<\/p>\n

\u201cFriend from college,\u201d Lynn replied.\u00a0 \u201cMentioning the story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Got a few reporters asking about it, I could tell them you were not there. Funny when they ask how I know, I was there, you weren\u2019t.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn had to smile at that comment.\u00a0 True, she recalled that Brea and Hans were both there, it was how she had learned about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI doubt Nick would even believe someone who was there, because he\u2019s my friend,\u201d Lynn said.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably not, he\u2019s too stubborn for his own good,\u201d he replied to her, starting to walk away.\u00a0 \u201cIf he gives you too much grief, come see me and the boys, we\u2019ll get him settled out straight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI doubt he will, but thanks,\u201d Lynn replied, heading back to her office, taking a moment to look outside the museum entrance.<\/p>\n

Standing out there were several news vans, reporters and other such groups all talking about her or looking for something about her.\u00a0 Her first encounter with the press yesterday had actually gone well, perhaps that was due to the fact the reporters there were not from the paparazzi either.<\/p>\n

Outside were all groups and a lot of stations she didn\u2019t recognize and didn\u2019t know if they were local or intergalactic as her phone buzzed again.<\/p>\n

I think Kris has lost it, officially.<\/em><\/p>\n

Why?<\/em><\/p>\n

Just walked by her, she had a very ugly scowl on, didn\u2019t even try to talk to me about you.<\/em><\/p>\n

Why would I, I have someone much better.<\/em><\/p>\n

I think that\u2019s what\u2019s bothering her.\u00a0 She can\u2019t compete against Elsa.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn had to giggle at that.\u00a0 Her ex was a manipulating con artist who used her position of power on those around her.\u00a0 If she couldn\u2019t manipulate you she bullied you.\u00a0 Another text message, this time from Elsa.<\/p>\n

Hey, how\u2019s your day going?<\/em><\/p>\n

Not bad, hearing my first wrong rumor.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh, nothing bad?<\/em><\/p>\n

Just something which happened between my ex and ex roommate.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh, that one, we\u2019ve already issued a statement about it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lynn blinked at that.<\/p>\n

That was fast.<\/em><\/p>\n

We have to keep ahead of such rumors, have an entire team devoted to it.\u00a0 I think they are having fun with this new excitement.<\/em><\/p>\n

Then they are weird.<\/em><\/p>\n

She could almost hear Elsa giggle at that.\u00a0 It would take her time to get used to such things, having people stand up for her and keeping an eye out for such things.\u00a0 They probably already knew about the police reports, or contacted them and got the information a lot faster than anyone else.<\/p>\n

Kris wouldn\u2019t be able to keep up with such things, and if it kept up her web of lies would come crumbling down around her.\u00a0 For that, she really wished she could be there to see that, another part of her didn\u2019t care anymore.<\/p>\n

Of course, if she hadn\u2019t caught them cheating on her she would have never gone on that vacation alone and her interaction with Elsa would have been very different.\u00a0 Strangely it was because of Kris that they got together.\u00a0 The thought caused her to smile as she moved on to her office to get back to work.<\/p>\n

She might be the princess\u2019s girlfriend, but she still had work to do.<\/p>\n
