Princess Elsa<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Disclaimer:\u00a0 All right, this is a Frozen type of fanfiction story, but I took several characters and made it a sci-fi story.\u00a0 It does have a girl-girl relationship, but it isn’t, repeat, isn’t between Anna and Elsa (yuck).<\/p>\n

Part 1<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Queen Trude Koenig watched her daughters.\u00a0 Both seemed so opposite and yet they were perfect friends.\u00a0 That thought seemed to cause her to pause as she considered something and looked on.<\/p>\n

Her oldest daughter, Elsa, had long blonde hair which she usually kept in a long braid.\u00a0 She was every much a product of her upbringing, sophisticated, polite, thoughtful and, perhaps, a bit too quiet at times.<\/p>\n

Otto, her husband and the king, had raised Elsa with the task of taking over the kingdom when he retired.\u00a0 They had a small kingdom in space, not as large as other empires, but they were comfortable and usually left alone.<\/p>\n

Looking on she watched her younger daughter, Anna, who seemed to be the opposite of Elsa, talk with her sister.\u00a0 Anna had red hair with a bit of blonde in it, unlike Trude’s own hair which was more blonde with red, and a bit shorter than Elsa.\u00a0 Anna had recently married and it appeared to have strained the sister’s relationship.<\/p>\n

Trude looked on as Elsa walked off, her posture stiff, as Anna watched her go before turning and heading over to her mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs it her time of the month or something?\u201d Anna asked causing her mother to raise an eyebrow at her daughter.\u00a0 \u201cAh, Elsa, she\u2019s being, well, unrealistic I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh?\u201d Trude replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe doesn\u2019t want to do anything anymore, just goes and closes herself off in her room to study.\u00a0 I mean, how much studying can one person do?\u201d Anna said a bit exasperated.<\/p>\n

Trude paused to consider that, along with her first thought upon seeing the two together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, we were so close, what happened?\u201d Anna asked.<\/p>\n

Before Trude could ponder that another person approached picking up Anna as she squealed a bit.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey handsome,\u201d Anna said, turning to face Kristoff, her husband.<\/p>\n

Trude looked up at the muscular man, a commoner who Anna had met years ago and finally married a few weeks ago.\u00a0 Trude had watched their relationship blossom, despite a few rocky bumps and was happy for her youngest daughter to have found someone devoted to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey yourself,\u201d Kristoff said, before frowning slightly.\u00a0 \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u201d<\/p>\n

Trude hid a smile as he was able to read Anna so well.<\/p>\n

\u201cIts Elsa,\u201d Anna said finally.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo luck?\u201d Kristoff replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo!\u201d<\/p>\n

At that moment her husband, Otto, showed up.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrude, dear, have you seen Elsa?\u201d he asked, and Trude knew the time had come.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, its time we had a talk about her,\u201d Trude said turning and heading to a small room.\u00a0 She knew she had confused the others but things had finally clicked for her and now she had to tell the others.<\/p>\n

Walking into the room she waited until they were all inside before turning and locking the door to make sure they were not interrupted.\u00a0 She turned to see Otto looking at her, knowing he would remain quite.\u00a0 When she got like this he knew to listen.<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, mom, what\u2019s going on?\u201d Anna asked sitting down next to Kristoff who just remained quiet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is about Elsa,\u201d Trude said, looking at Otto then at Anna.\u00a0 \u201cShe\u2019s feeling alone, lost, and it scares her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you talking about?\u00a0 We\u2019re all here?\u2019 Otto said.\u00a0 \u201cThere are people all around her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, treating her like a future queen,\u201d Trude pointed out.\u00a0 \u201cHer one, and only, friend was Anna.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m still here,\u201d Anna said.\u00a0 \u201cAnd I still want to do things with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, but now your time is divided, and you can\u2019t ignore Kristoff, nor should you,\u201d Trude replied, looking at both Anna and Kristoff.\u00a0 \u201cBut for Elsa, she had no other friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

She looked at all of them for several more seconds.\u00a0 \u201cDear, you\u2019ve raised a wonderful future queen, but she needs some freedom, time to make friends, explore who she is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd how do you suggest that, there are things she should learn,\u201d Otto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow did you meet me?\u201d Trude said looking at him, waiting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI snuck out at night,\u201d Otto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cExactly, you went out, discovered yourself,\u201d Trude said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy not a vacation or some sort, get her away from the palace,\u201d Kristoff said.\u00a0 \u201cWe could invite Rapunzel and Eugene?\u201d<\/p>\n

Trude looked over at her husband and daughter.\u00a0 True, Elsa would be with a group, but would she see it as fun?\u00a0 It also could be a way to bond a bit with Kristoff as well, as Elsa probably considered him someone who took Anna away from her.<\/p>\n

No one spoke for several seconds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy don\u2019t I speak with Elsa, see what she thinks,\u201d Anna finally said as they reached a decision.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Elsa looked over the reports again which she had been given for the upcoming meeting on ore production for the empire.\u00a0 From what she could tell the empire had enough for its own needs plus surplus to sell off for profit.\u00a0 She could see no reason to tax the ore miners even more.<\/p>\n

A knock on her door caused her to look up, not expecting anyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cElsa, its Anna, can I come in?\u201d Anna\u2019s voice said.<\/p>\n

Elsa jumped up heading over to the door, opening it and allowing Anna in, a bit thankful Kristoff wasn\u2019t around.\u00a0 Letting her in she moved back to her desk.<\/p>\n

“What’s up?” Elsa asked, seeing a curious look on her sister’s face.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, we were wondering if you wanted to go on a vacation of sorts?\u201d Anna asked surprising Elsa a bit.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t what she expected to hear.<\/p>\n

\u201cA vacation?\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure, there\u2019s a lot to do?\u201d Elsa said, recalling her schedule and looking at the papers in front of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually mom suggested it,\u201d Anna stated.\u00a0 \u201cAnd dad\u2019s okay with it.\u00a0 Come on Elsa, it\u2019ll be a way to get out of the palace, have some fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsa\u2019s mind started to race.\u00a0 Where could she go where she wouldn\u2019t be seen or known?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can invite Punzel as well,\u201d Anna said.<\/p>\n

Elsa thought about it and realized that Kristoff probably would go with them as well, and Rapunzel\u2019s husband, Eugene.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be fun, you know Eugene likes us,\u201d Anna said.<\/p>\n

Elsa looked down at the desk before realizing she might be able to spend some time with Anna as well, and she would be there if anything happened.\u00a0 Rapunzel and Eugene, it would be nice to see them again outside of official functions of the empire.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll right, but no crowded places,\u201d Elsa said, not wanting to handle a large crowd.<\/p>\n

She watched her sister almost jump up and down in delight at Elsa\u2019s answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry, we\u2019ll find a good spot, and I think I know just the place,\u201d Anna said, before running out of the room.\u00a0 Elsa giggled slightly at the enthusiasm her sister always had when such things occurred.<\/p>\n

Perhaps a vacation was something she needed.\u00a0 The only downside was spending time with Kristoff, but with the others it might be enjoyable.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Lynn made her way to the hotel, having won a week\u2019s vacation from the radio station for her knowledge in history.\u00a0 Of course she was a history major with the intention of one day becoming a museum curator or something within the museum system.<\/p>\n

A frown appeared on her face as she imagined how this week was supposed to go.\u00a0 She should have been coming up here with Kris, who had been her girlfriend for the past two years that was until she walked in on her and her roommate in bed together.<\/p>\n

Oh, that had been a scene for sure, the yelling and emotions, especially when she learned they had been seeing each other behind her back for six months now.\u00a0 Her hands clinched into fists at the thought and almost cancelled this trip.<\/p>\n

Another friend, Hans, mentioned that she should go anyways, get away from the school and have fun anyways.\u00a0 Now she looked around at the luxurious hotel, one of the best in the empire, and the planet below known for its famous geothermal features.\u00a0 Only the wealthy could afford this hotel.\u00a0 Making her way nervously to the front desk she watched as the employee behind looked at her with a dismissive glance.<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, excuse me,\u201d Lynn said reaching the front desk.\u00a0 \u201cUm, a reservation for Lynn Sauer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her name caused a reaction, but not from teh woman in front of her.\u00a0 Another employee hurriedly came over.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiss Sauer, this way,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cYou can leave your luggage, they will be taken up to your room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynn was a bit flustered by that, she had no problem taking her bags herself, but allowed herself to be whisked away to another room.<\/p>\n

\u201cMust be overwhelming for you,\u201d the man in front of her said.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m Gerald Hesst, you can call me Gerald, and I\u2019m one of the hotel\u2019s concierges, here for you while you\u2019re here.\u00a0 If you require anything don’t hesitate to call me, its what I’m here for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, thanks,\u201d Lynn stated.\u00a0 This was something she had never experienced before.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, is there anyone else with you?\u00a0 The contest stated two people,\u201d Gerald said patiently.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, no, caught my lover in bed with my roommate a few days ago,\u201d Lynn said being honest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see, well, it makes things easier for us,\u201d Gerald stated.\u00a0 \u201cThe floor you\u2019re on has special security for some other guests arriving later on, and if you would be so helpful as to not give your room key to anyone else, it would be most appreciated.\u00a0 Also you\u2019ll require an additional security pass for your floor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay,\u201d Lynn said, wondering who was on the floor.\u00a0 Chances were she would never know.\u00a0 Going through security she got her keycards for her room, and she was shown how security would work, and which elevator to take, as it would be the only one going to that floor.<\/p>\n

\u201cShuttles head down to the planet every hour, the spots on the planet are only open during daylight hours, there are several geothermal features which one can see, though the most popular spots are currently in winter season, you brought some warm clothes?\u201d Gerald asked as they approached her room.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, thanks,\u201d Lynn said looking towards the end of the hallway.\u00a0 \u201cIs that a pool?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, private for this floor, and no one can see in,\u201d Gerald said.\u00a0 \u201cIf you require anything, let me know and I\u2019ll arrange it for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank,\u201d Lynn said, moving into her room and looking around.\u00a0 It was larger than her dorm back at school, a central area, a small kitchen off to the side, and a door.\u00a0 Walking though she entered the bedroom which had a large king sized bed, a TV, and off to the side a bathroom.\u00a0 Walking in there she noticed a separate shower and bath, and plenty of room.<\/p>\n

She briefly wondered at how things might have been had Kris not cheated on her.\u00a0 They would have had a lot of fun.\u00a0 Feeling tears of frustration start she hastily rubbed her eyes and looked at herself in the mirror.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou will have fun,\u201d she ordered herself.\u00a0 Deciding to try and burn off some extra energy before supper she changed into her swimsuit and headed to the pool area.\u00a0 It had a nice pool, a hot tub and some chairs to sit and get a tan in if she so desired.\u00a0 Maybe she might do that later with her other swimsuit, as she wore her swimming one piece suit.\u00a0 Placing her stuff down she moved over to the pool, seeing the automatic rescue system in case she did something stupid.<\/p>\n

Jumping into the pool she started doing laps allowing her anger to wash away.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Elsa made her way into the hotel lobby along with the others in her party.\u00a0 She watched as with predicable results all the employees raced to do their jobs with so many royalty present.\u00a0 She allowed the others to do the talking as they were handed their cards and told which elevator to use<\/p>\n

\u201cThis should be fun,\u201d Rapunzel said, giving a twirl and looking around at everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve never seen a geyser?\u201d Eugene said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNope,\u201d Rapunzel replied.\u00a0 Elsa had to agree, she hadn\u2019t either, but had read about them.\u00a0 She even watched videos online, and the live feeds wondering what it might be like to actually be there in person.<\/p>\n

They all made their way over as the hotel\u2019s concierge helped them out and bypassed the lines.\u00a0 It took little effort to get their rooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll have almost the entire floor to yourselves, there is one other guest, but she shouldn\u2019t be a problem,\u201d the concierge told them, handing them their room cards and escorting them up to the rooms.\u00a0 Elsa was ready for something to eat and perhaps, relaxing a bit after the trip here.<\/p>\n
