Part 25<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMaster Fie-Tel, what did you find out?\u201d Luke asked his friend as he reported in on the meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m unsure Master Skywalker,\u201d Fie-Tel replied back.\u00a0 \u201cThis Empress Rizon, she had a strange aura around her that I could tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Force?\u201d Luke asked, wondering if someone else was a Force user and masking their abilities from them all.\u00a0 The Emperor had done that for years while gaining power, but it also meant little as Leia was strong in the Force as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d Fie-Tel replied.\u00a0 \u201cOnly that she holds herself with great poise and power.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone to keep an eye on, or just who she is,\u201d Luke said.\u00a0 \u201cA lot of politicians are that way and this doesn\u2019t make our job any easier.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, but I will keep an eye on her for anything else,\u201d Fie-Tel replied back to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, report in regularly and see if we can narrow down if it\u2019s just who she is, or something else we might have to be worried about,\u201d Luke said to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course,\u201d Fie-Tel said as the conversation ended.<\/p>\n

Luke sat back knowing the meeting hadn\u2019t solved any questions they had.\u00a0 They would have to do some work to figure out who these Rizonians were.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Jessica made her way back onto her flagship and looked over the reports coming in.\u00a0 The latest news was she now had eight operational ships that were manned.\u00a0 Things were still looking up but she knew she also had to deal with a revolt which probably would occur soon, at least the impatient ones.\u00a0 She wasn\u2019t too worried about this one, as it would be crushed quickly and swiftly as an example of them.<\/p>\n

Her thoughts moved on to green eyes and she had to stop a smile which came to her lips at the imagined sight.\u00a0 It was a genuine feeling she couldn\u2019t seem to help.\u00a0 Coming to her senses she turned the corner and ran into a group of people before her.<\/p>\n

She thought it was strange they were all in the hallway, even as her senses screamed for her to be wary.\u00a0 She listened to them and waited, seeing what might happen next even as she recognized the leader of the group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, well, it if isn\u2019t Lord Rizon,\u201d the tall blonde said sauntering up to the front of the group.<\/p>\n

\u201cKatie, no surprise,\u201d Jessica said slipping into her Darth Rizon mode knowing a fight was going to occur.\u00a0 \u201cI see you\u2019ve been working quicker than I expected, not that it matters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTen against one,\u201d Katie said looking around as some others appeared behind Jessica.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually its not, but you wouldn\u2019t understand,\u201d Jessica said calmly.<\/p>\n

Even as she spoke though she moved into action, sending Force lightning to the group in front of her watching as several were tossed about and others slumped down in agony.\u00a0 Katie was tossed back even as a few others opened fired.\u00a0 However Jessica was already moving, her lightsaber activated and deflecting shots as she moved quickly striking down several traitors.<\/p>\n

After several seconds the only sound in the hallway was the hum of her lightsaber.\u00a0 She glanced over at who had attempted the coup and snorted in disgust before making her way towards the blonde who had managed to survive.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re really pathetic, aren\u2019t you,\u201d Jessica said closing the distance and seeing the grey eyes widen in both shock and anger.\u00a0 \u201cYou forgot to understand one thing, you are facing a Sith Lord, not a weak pathetic Dark Jedi.\u201d<\/p>\n

With those words she swung down decapitating the blonde before looking at the others as they were frozen in fear.\u00a0 She used that launch another offensive at the group.\u00a0 The commotion brought guards racing in only to stop at the carnage in front of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet a cleanup crew in here now,\u201d Jessica said to them as she put her lightsaber up.\u00a0 \u201cAnd remember, this is what happens if you try to rebel against me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several guards stood there wide-eyed at the devastation in front of them.\u00a0 Jessica walked past them, as the guards gave her a wide berth before she continued on her way down the corridor knowing she had set an example to the others.\u00a0 The weak would be cast off and the strong would survive.\u00a0 She had a feeling there were still other rebellious groups and hoped such an action would cause them to pause before acting.\u00a0 The minor attack had been undertaken, the larger attack would still occur.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Gaia felt the sudden disturbance in the Force and its relationship in the Dark side making her wonder what had happened.\u00a0 She figured the surge was probably from Rizon, and wondered if she had been killed.\u00a0 The very thought caused an unexpected pain in her chest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is silly,\u201d Gaia mumbled to herself as she pondered what it might mean.\u00a0 \u201cShe\u2019s a Sith Lord, the enemy of the Jedi,\u201d she continued trying to rationalize the thoughts in her mind.<\/p>\n

So far nothing about the entire situation had been normal for her and the unexpected feeling only made things more confusing to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m acting like a schoolgirl with my first crush with her,\u201d Gaia said scolding herself over her attitude.\u00a0 Only problem was it appeared not to be working with her heart.\u00a0 \u201cI might as well be in love with her or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

She paused as a part of her opened up even as she spoke the words.\u00a0 It felt like somehow she was opening up to her true feelings deep within her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is ridiculous,\u201d she said to herself, but even as she said it she looked around.<\/p>\n

She was a prisoner, forced here against her will and even to make a terrible choice by Rizon.\u00a0 Yet, something about the way the woman acted, telling her she\u2019d be her queen, and the way she touched her were very different.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, mom always said I would be unusual,\u201d Gaia said recalling those conversations, back then she thought she meant her connection to the Force.\u00a0 Now as she calmed down she focused more on what had happened, the events and such.<\/p>\n

Rizon was powerful in the force, much more powerful than Gaia was.\u00a0 She felt sure she would not be able to physically defeat her in combat nor did she really want to fight her.\u00a0 Then there was the two \u2018ghosts\u2019 in her vision she kept having.\u00a0 They acted like lovers to her when they appeared.\u00a0 Add in the mysterious group who had contacted her when she had been searching for information about the mysterious Jedi Master, Bri Lightner.<\/p>\n

It was all getting complex.\u00a0 She felt sure Bri was one of the two ghosts, but why did they look like her and Rizon?\u00a0 Why was she attracted to her and she had a feeling the tall Sith was attracted to her as well.\u00a0 In a strange way, she thought Rizon was a bit protective of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cNah, that\u2019s just my imagination,\u201d Gaia said now pacing the room a bit as she tried to sort through all the information.\u00a0 \u201cThough, she is sexy, and beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

She had conflicting thought as nothing seemed to make any sense to her.\u00a0 She considered it all before finally coming to a conclusion.\u00a0 Her heart and mind were at war with each other, and she usually relied on her heart.\u00a0 So why was she fighting it this time when it usually led her on the right path.<\/p>\n

Making up her mind she decided to follow the path of her heart.\u00a0 As she made that decision a peace came over her unlike any since she had arrived.\u00a0 Now, all she had to do was wait for her target to appear.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Fie-Tel listened as the President was speaking to another group about the Rizonians, he had given his report to Luke and now was waiting for the next meeting.\u00a0 As he sat he felt a sudden disturbance in the Force unlike anything he had felt before and full of Dark Side energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cFie-Tel, are you all right?\u201d Leia asked looking over at him.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust a tremor in the Force, did you feel it as well?\u201d Fie-Tel asked seeing the others look on at them.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d Leia said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was strong, but I have no idea from where it came from,\u201d Fie-Tel replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new Rizonian friend?\u201d Leia asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe, or maybe not, remember the Emperor worked right under the Jedi\u2019s noses, this could be something similar,\u201d Fie-Tel replied watching as some of the others shifted uneasily in their seats.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre we making the new potential ally a threat already?\u201d another person asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, anyone can be an ally, or an enemy.\u00a0 But the Rizonians might have a different take on the Force than we have.\u00a0 The Dark and Light Side might not exist there, but they might exist side by side in their society,\u201d Fie-Tel replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn interesting proposal,\u201d Leia said.\u00a0 \u201cWe also think there is a new Sith Lord out there somewhere as well.\u00a0 We could be sitting right next to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s preposterous,\u201d another senator said, obviously insulted by the course of the conversation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what we mean is they could be on board this ship,\u201d Fie-Tel said.\u00a0 \u201cI only suggest we be cautious, not fearful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI agree, we\u2019ll proceed cautiously when speaking with this group,\u201d Leia said to them.<\/p>\n

Fie-Tel watched as a few wanted to argue, but a few others seemed to agree.\u00a0 It was typical of office politics and a reason why he disliked meeting with politicians.\u00a0 They were deceiving and always made it hard to discover who was actually telling the truth and who wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Jessica walked to the bridge in a bad mood now.\u00a0 She barely noticed as people moved quickly out of her way and it appeared word of the attempted coup had spread throughout the ship.\u00a0 She only noticed that it had put the fear back into many of their eyes that fear she could fear as she made her way onto the bridge.<\/p>\n

She spotted Tyi standing on the bridge.\u00a0 He was carrying out her latest orders as she looked around.\u00a0 She could feel something else going on as well but couldn\u2019t place it.\u00a0 It felt, a bit disturbing and she had a hard time placing the feeling.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s the situation?\u201d Jessica asked looking over at the captain.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve received word the fleet is ready to go,\u201d he replied back to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, prepare for the next phase of the plane at once,\u201d Jessica ordered knowing it would send part of her fleet off to attack another world which would be added to her growing empire.\u00a0 Another conquest meant another planet, people and more power which she could wield.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what about the local governors, are they establishing their power?\u201d Jessica asked looking over at Tyi.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey state they are only encountering minor problems my lord,\u201d Tyi replied back to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, see to it nothing goes wrong,\u201d Jessica said having gotten the information she wanted from him.\u00a0 Things were progressing as she had foreseen. \u201cI\u2019ll be having another meeting with the President of the New Republic, I\u2019m sure she\u2019ll have some more questions for me.\u00a0 Let me know when everything is ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes my lord,\u201d Tyi replied back to her.<\/p>\n

Jessica then walked off the bridge but couldn\u2019t\u2019 shake this feeling that something else was going on.\u00a0 She knew the coup d\u2019\u00e9tat against her hadn\u2019t ended.\u00a0 The real leader she still had yet to identify.\u00a0 Katie was ambitious yet lack the ability to lead and organize her forces without someone else as the brains.<\/p>\n

Going over the list of people there were a few who came to mind, and no one was immune to her suspicion.\u00a0 She headed down the corridor not really paying attention until she arrived outside where her Jedi prisoner was located.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe still in there?\u201d Jessica asked the guards.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hasn\u2019t given us any trouble my lord,\u201d one of the guards stated.\u00a0 \u201cShe was pacing around earlier, but calmed down now and back to her meditation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica looked at the monitor to see Gaia meditating.\u00a0 Making her way through the doors she wanted to surprise the young Jedi who didn\u2019t move as she entered.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt you coming,\u201d Gaia stated surprising Jessica frown a bit but she quickly recovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are a Jedi, I would think you\u2019d be able to feel a Force user approaching,\u201d Jessica replied back to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t say I felt your presence through the Force,\u201d Gaia replied opening her eyes and looking right at her.\u00a0 \u201cI said I felt you.\u201d<\/p>\n
