Part 4<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lexxa entered the room seeing Rusk already in there as the others also came in, including Kira, Doc, Scourge, Jela and Ranna. Rusk said there was something for her, the station had intercepted a message from the Flesh Raider village and she was eager to see it.\u00a0 The communicator came to life and the captain of the orbiting station appeared.<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaster Jedi, a pleasure to work with you,\u201d the captain said.\u00a0 \u201cSargent Rusk said we might pick up some communications, we did so not long ago and managed to record it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s see it,\u201d Lexxa said, watching as the screen changed to the man she had seen earlier. He was human, dark hair and a couple of Sith tattoos around his eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaster, I\u2019m reporting in,\u201d the man said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what is the situation?\u201d a voice replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve brought in some new people, strong ones,\u201d the man replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you saying you\u2019ve failed?\u201d the voice said harshly. \u201cIf you cannot deal with this then you are unacceptable to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese brutes will never understand the complexities of battle, they only use brute force,\u201d the man said back.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo excuses Halathar,\u201d the voice said, giving Lexxa a name for the man now.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course not master,\u201d Halathar said, as the communications ended.<\/p>\n

Lexxa paused thinking about it as the captain of the station came back.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were unable to track where the communications was going,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks,\u201d Lexxa said ending the communications and looking back at her team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that didn\u2019t give us much,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot really,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cBut we do have a name.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe we can see if the Republic knows of this Halathar guy?\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not familiar with the name,\u201d Scourge said. \u201cHe is either new, or was considered unimportant by the emperor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhich could make him even more dangerous,\u201d Kira stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do we do?\u201d Ranna asked.<\/p>\n

Lexxa thought about it for a few seconds before finally coming up with a plan and contacted the Jedi temple, waiting for a few seconds until Master Satele appeared on the screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaster Lexxa, you have something?\u201d Satele said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe think this Sith is a just a low pawn, trying to get back in the grace of his master,\u201d Lexxa said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome sort of failure?\u201d Satele said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost likely he failed his mission in the invasion of the Jedi Temple,\u201d Scourge said speaking up. \u201cIt\u2019s not unusual for such actions, trying to redeem yourself in the eyes of your master.\u00a0 You either succeed or, more likely, die trying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is your plan?\u201d Satele asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing in, taking most of my group with me, leaving T7 and Rusk here at the village,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIF that is the path you think is for the best, then I will back you up,\u201d Satele said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you,\u201d Lexxa stated as the communications ended and she turned to her group. \u201cWell, let\u2019s get ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you sure I should go?\u201d Scourge asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, you\u2019re combat abilities against another Force user are needed here, some of these Flesh Raiders have the ability to use the force,\u201d Lexxa said to him, watching as he seemed a bit shocked at that.<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, if we just go in guns blazing a lot of Flesh Raiders will be killed,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to lure him out,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cYou are the distraction allowing me to get to him, once he\u2019s eliminated I think we can expect the Flesh Raider to retreat again.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil they try again,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPerhaps, but we\u2019ll tackle that situation when it arises,\u201d Lexxa stated back to her before they started off down the path to the Flesh Raider village.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, now what?\u201d Kira asked, as they looked down at the village in front of them, seeing a few patrols and reminded her of what she saw earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy not have Scourge head on down, claim he\u2019s from the Sith Empire here to talk to him,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would not work,\u201d Scourge said. \u201cEven if I told him about me being the Emperor\u2019s Hand, he is trying to impress his master, for that Sith will ignore anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat, an irrational Sith,\u201d Doc replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, what we need is a distraction,\u201d Lexxa said, looking at the group, including HK.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuery: Does this mean I can shoot more meatbags?\u201d HK said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah it will,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I am ready,\u201d HK told her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSourge will go with HK, Kira with Doc, we\u2019ll split up a bit,\u201d Lexxa said to them giving it some thought. \u201cEach group will attack from different directions that should provide enough distraction for me to get to the leader.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou sure you want to go alone?\u201d Kira asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it will work,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cBut wait for me to get into position.\u00a0 I want to get close to the main building there,\u201d she said pointing to the largest building.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s where he came out earlier.\u00a0 It would also empty the guards around the area a bit more than one direction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you think so,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll contact you when I\u2019m in position,\u201d Lexxa said to them. \u201cTry to tie them down, our main target is the Sith.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everyone moved off to prepare for their bit in this plan. Lexxa moved around the edge of the village working to get as close as possible yet still able to get into the action quickly if the Sith came out of the building.\u00a0 The activity was normal, a few Flesh Raiders around the area, but nothing which indicated they were expecting an attack.<\/p>\n

That indicated whoever she was fighting never considered the action. It would be interesting to see his reaction to the attack. She moved around so she could see doorway of the building and waited for the others to indicate they were also ready to attack.<\/p>\n

Watching a few in the field she noticed they were practicing using the Force which only confirmed what she suspected, they were being trained. She also held no illusion that they were being trained in the Dark Side of the Force.\u00a0 Taking a moment more to watch their actions she noticed they were not much better than the one she encountered as a padawan and should pose little threat to anyone in her group, especially after everything they\u2019ve encountered.<\/p>\n

The communicator chirped softly indicating everyone was in position. Replying she was also in position and waited.\u00a0 It only took a few seconds before the first explosions started up sending everyone into a panic.<\/p>\n

She watched, waiting as the guards went running off towards the attack, even as the Sith and a couple of others walked out of the building as a second explosion occurred in another direction and two Flesh Raiders ran over to the group. The Flesh Raiders all took off heading to defend their village leaving the Sith alone and she made her move.<\/p>\n

It took only a second for the Sith to realize she was there and turned towards him.<\/p>\n

\u201cA bit quicker than I expected you to feel me,\u201d Lexxa said now able to get a good look at the man. Dressed in typical Sith armor, no cape even as he reached for his lightsaber.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll find I\u2019m full of surprises,\u201d the man said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike training Flesh Raiders in the Force,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure that surprised you,\u201d the man said. \u201cJedi are always so closed minded to such things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNope, faced one before, even sent one to the Temple to be trained,\u201d Lexxa said watching his expression turn to shock. It was as if some deep secret he thought only he knew had been exposed.\u00a0 \u201cYou really have no idea who or what you are up against.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA simple Jedi, which I shall strike down. Its not the first time I done so,\u201d he said with a smile.\u00a0 \u201cI struck down several in the invasion, they were easy to kill, and those padawans, a waste of talent.\u00a0 They would have never made it in a Sith academy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd who do you think ended your invasion?\u201d Lexxa said, watching as he seemed to pause at that question, as if he didn\u2019t have the answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lucky Jedi,\u201d he finally replied. \u201cSith are superior to your ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think so?\u201d Lexxa said as he ignited his lightsabers and attacked.<\/p>\n

Lexxa brought her own lightsabers to life as well blocking the attack with ease watching his attack style. It was similar to a Sith Warrior, very much like her own but he only used one blade not two like she did.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf that\u2019s the best you can do, then no wonder you failed, Halathar.\u201d<\/p>\n

The use of his name caused him to stop and back up, glaring at her as if she had some secret.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, learned your name,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cYou really should be more careful in your communications.\u201d<\/p>\n

The taunt worked, making him angry as he attacked again.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, who is your master? Why do all this for what he considers a failure,\u201d Lexxa said, blocking the attacks and attacking herself causing him to switch to defense and back up.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll never know Jedi,\u201d Halathar spat, his face contorted in rage as he stepped back.<\/p>\n

Lexxa felt it before the attack occurred, as he sent a large boulder towards her. She easily deflected it using the Force as well with minimal effort.\u00a0 She wanted to show him the difference in their power.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do you persist?\u201d Lexxa asked, really wanting to know what this guy was up to. What was his plan?<\/p>\n

\u201cI have nothing else to live for, but redemption,\u201d Halathar said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t expect a Jedi to understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019d be surprised,\u201d Lexxa replied. \u201cConsidering I know a few Sith myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA Sith pureblood, more like a blood traitor, I\u2019ll take care of him next after you,\u201d Halathar said causing Lexxa to chuckle a bit at that. He had no idea who Scourge was.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, how were you going for redemption? Training a group of primitives who have a bare understanding of the Force and communications?\u201d Lexxa asked.\u00a0 \u201cNot exactly a place you can leave easily.\u201d<\/p>\n

She felt him pause again, this time she attacked driving him backwards. Off to the side she spotted a couple of Flesh Raiders watching the battle going on but had yet to do anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttack her,\u201d Halathar said, also seeing them standing nearby.<\/p>\n

Lexxa really didn\u2019t to kill any more people than necessary and used the Force to toss them back and away. She moved once more to attack Halathar.<\/p>\n

Lightsabers clashed in the deadly dance. Gold and red flashing as strike and counter strike occurred.\u00a0 Halathar had some skill.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, what was your part of the invasion?\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cAfter all, it failed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was to kill everyone in that silly village,\u201d Halathar said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Twi\u2019lek village, not exactly a group which could threaten the Sith who landed to take the temple,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cFool, it doesn\u2019t matter, only completing my mission for my master,\u201d Halathar said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Sith couldn\u2019t take care of a village of Twi\u2019leks with no help from any Jedi?\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t know what happened, many Jedi fled to the village and set up defenses there,\u201d Halathar said.<\/p>\n

It made sense now, Halathar was too weak to fight so many Jedi by himself. He alone could destroy the village, but not with several masters there.\u00a0 The Sith had probably hoped to destroy the village first to make it difficult for the Jedi to organize and lead a counter attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, your failure is complete,\u201d Lexxa replied, going on the attack again, this time using more power.<\/p>\n

Halathar staggered against the onslaught, being driven back.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho are you?\u201d Halathar said. \u201cNo Jedi contains this much power.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust a Jedi who\u2019s faced the Emperor twice,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou lie, no one can face the Emperor,\u201d Halathar said, attacking wildly again.<\/p>\n

Lexxa attacked again, knowing this time she had struck a deadly blow, watching as Halathar paused and looked shocked at what happened. Slowly he slumped to the ground leaving Lexxa the victor of the battle.<\/p>\n
