Part 3<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lexxa made her way along the path, places she had been before when she was a padawan under Master Orgus Din. Of course back then the Flesh Raiders had been helped by a former pupil of Din\u2019s and this time she only hoped it was a Sith Lord not something else even more dangerous.\u00a0 Reports seemed to indicate one Sith Lord.<\/p>\n

She left Kira in charge of the defenses knowing her lover and Doc could handle any attack without her. Kira had been a bit miffed, but mostly due to missing any action than anything else.<\/p>\n

Now approaching the Flesh Raider village Lexxa took note on its changes. Instead of a scattered arrangement of villages like she recalled, there were now a few larger buildings and what she thought looked like a large training field cleared away. The guards appeared better organized and, she paused stretching out with her feelings, thought she noticed a few were stronger in the Force this time.<\/p>\n

She wouldn\u2019t be caught unaware again after her last encounter with some Force sensitive Flesh Raiders. It came as a shock last time. Slipping though the guards they obviously had not expected someone to infiltrate their village again, or the person in command didn\u2019t think someone would.\u00a0 She noticed a couple of Flesh Raiders on the training field, working on sparring techniques as a human exited one of the buildings and headed towards a group nearby.<\/p>\n

From the way he was dress he looked Sith, and now she could feel his power. Not the strongest she had felt, but enough to cause havoc and probably no quite a Sith Lord, but not an apprentice either.<\/p>\n

She heard a few grunts from the Flesh Raiders but was unable to make out what they said with their backs to her. However she could hear his reply.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, they called in reinforcements from the Jedi after the padawans,\u201d the Sith said. \u201cIt was something which I expected after the two padawans were killed.\u00a0 We\u2019re close to achieving my goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

That got Lexxa\u2019s attention. The man had a goal, and was informing his troops that he anticipated this move.\u00a0 She had the feeling he was not expecting someone like her to show up.\u00a0 She could move in and try to take him out now, but that would mean fighting a lot of Flesh Raiders as well and with no real knowledge of how powerful the Sith was she didn\u2019t wish to try.<\/p>\n

\u201cContinue our progress for now, we\u2019ll launch another attack on the village which I shall watch personally,\u201d he said, before turning and heading back into the building.<\/p>\n

Lexxa had a feeling he wanted to see who he was up against.<\/p>\n

Deciding she had enough information she made her way back out of the camp. She looked over their weapons to see what they might be up against. A few blasters, vibroswords and such but nothing they couldn\u2019t handle.<\/p>\n

On the way back she wondered if he would panic upon seeing who was there. She was not the typical Jedi, and neither was Kira, and the rest of her group was just as fiercesome.\u00a0 Rusk was a tactical and weapons expert, Doc could handle his own in any environment and Scourge could handle himself as he had for over 300 years.<\/p>\n

On the way back she thought about the entire situation for a while. If anyone understood the Sith best it was Scourge, and she figured his knowledge would be helpful this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou find anything?\u201d Kira\u2019s voice said as she walked towards Lexxa who entered the village now.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, and its not that good,\u201d Lexxa replied to her seeing Doc come up along with Ranna.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve returned, I\u2019m glad,\u201d Ranna said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, old Doc had no worries,\u201d Doc said to her flashing her his usual grin.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you found out the truth?\u201d Kira asked as Jela joined them as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it\u2019s a Sith, has to be from the invasion,\u201d Lexxa replied turning to Jela. \u201cThey are preparing for another attack.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen we shall prepare,\u201d Jela said, moving off to reinforce his guards around the village.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou sure?\u201d Ranna asked, not so much a question but wanting to make sure.<\/p>\n

\u201cHeard him say he wanted to watch the Jedi reinforcements, which also means he\u2019s watching the village if he got word of our arrival,\u201d Lexxa said watching as Ranna looked around at the cliffs and such which would allow a perfect vantage point to spy on the village.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother fight, let them come,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, such fun,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

Lexxa ignored them for the moment activating the communicator waiting for a second until Master Satele appeared.<\/p>\n

\u201cReport Master Lexxa,\u201d Satele said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s as we feared, a Sith is leading them, training them,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cI felt a couple of Force sensitive Flesh Raiders.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, it\u2019s not surprising now, but that was a shock,\u201d Satele said as they both recalled when Lexxa was a padawan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are going to be attacking again, and this Sith either assumed more Jedi would arrive, or he was putting up a mask to the Flesh Raiders,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cHe also has a plan of some sort.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing Sith who knows how crazy it is,\u201d Kira said as Doc agreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny clues?\u201d Satele asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot really, but I would like Scourge to come down and help, his knowledge might be invaluable,\u201d Lexxa stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, he\u2019ll love that,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I know Rusk and HK would love to help defend the village,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHK, you\u2019d have to restrain him from rushing the Flesh Raider village with glee,\u201d Kira said as Doc gave a small chuckle and even Lexxa grinned at that.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou trust Scourge with this?\u201d Satele asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do,\u201d Lexxa replied. \u201cRusk will keep a close eye on him, actually I\u2019d be more concerned with HK.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh?\u201d Satele replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cA droid which has a love for action and nothing else,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAssassin droid,\u201d Satele said with understanding. \u201cThey can get a bit quirky.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, that describes him,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything else?\u201d Satele asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, just have to prepare for an attack,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cThis Sith wanted to watch us in action, probably gage how much of a threat we are to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cVery well, I\u2019ll inform the Jedi here of Scourge\u2019s arrival, and show him respect,\u201d Satele said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks,\u201d Lexxa said as the communications ended and she then hailed the ship.<\/p>\n

\u201cRusk here,\u201d she heard Rusk say, very professional.<\/p>\n

\u201cRusk, I think we\u2019ll need you down here,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of us ma\u2019am?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, you, Lord Scourge and HK, if you get here fast enough you can help reinforce the village in an attack,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cExcited answer: I will be right there master,\u201d she heard HK say knowing he would be excited.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd me?\u201d as Scourge appeared in the communicator.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like for you to help figure out what this Sith\u2019s goal is, you understand them better than anyone here. I\u2019m just hoping it\u2019s not some far reaching, universe wide plot like the Emperor,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery well, I shall be there,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll leave right away,\u201d Rusk said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood,\u201d Lexxa said as the communications ended. Scourge for all of his Sith training still harbored a respect for all life the biggest redeeming quality he had. She knew he had done a lot of things ass the Emperor\u2019s Hand and never asked, but he also had an insight to how the Sith worked.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have to see how the defenses are coming,\u201d Doc said, as they headed out to find Jela.<\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Lexxa watched as the speeder slowed to a stop allowing the passengers out. Rusk, Scourge and HK all stepped out and looked around at the village before making their way over to where she stood.\u00a0 She noticed a few people looking on, staring at the group knowing that most had probably never seen a Sith pureblood before.<\/p>\n

\u201cReporting as ordered,\u201d Rusk said maintaining his professional attitude, something which would help in the defense of the village.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, no troubles?\u201d she asked, looking at HK.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo ma\u2019am,\u201d Rusk stated as Jela made his way over along with Ranna, who appeared apprehensive of Scourge.<\/p>\n

\u201cRusk, you and HK work with Jela on the defense of the village, I\u2019m counting on you two, use T7 as well,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cExplanation: the target meatbags won\u2019t know what hit them master,\u201d HK said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no doubts in your abilities,\u201d Lexxa said, as Rusk and HK walked off with Jela to talk about the defense of the village.<\/p>\n

\u201cWill they be able to provide a defense?\u201d Ranna asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cHK can remain on duty all the time, and is hoping for some action,\u201d Lexxa said before turning to Scourge. \u201cThe Sith here is left over from the invasion attempt, that much I\u2019m almost certain about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRevan, it was a battle, you think another Sith had other plans?\u201d Scourge asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d Lexxa replied as Kira made her way over.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything appears ready,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, I assume Rusk and HK are helping?\u201d Lexxa asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cRusk, he\u2019s in his element, HK wants to shoot something,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s always impatient for the hunt,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

Before Lexxa could reply T7 chirped loudly.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttention: We have incoming targets,\u201d HK said out loud.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe attack,\u201d Kira said as they all moved forward to the defenses of the village. Even before she arrived the sound of blaster fire rang out as HK engaged the raiders.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever a dull moment with you,\u201d Kira said, as Lexxa retrieved her lightsabers, and ignited the blades, the unique gold color came to life even as Scourge readied himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cGo on, I\u2019ll stay here and protect the Matriarch,\u201d Lexxa said, not wanting to engage just yet. She wanted to hold on showing her power to the enemy.<\/p>\n

Scourge seemed to understand as Kira left to engage as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cShould I engage as well?\u201d Scourge asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to keep you a bit of a secret,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Sith pureblood, a secret?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you fight he\u2019ll know for sure, you could be some sort of observer or who knows,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you are hiding your power,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, no need for him to know, he might do something rash,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cIf he thinks we\u2019re normal Jedi he\u2019ll continue his plan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA bold strategy,\u201d Scourge replied.<\/p>\n

Lexa knew the strategy was far from perfect, but it was the only thing she had at the moment and she wanted to know what the plan was. Looking around she tried to figure out where he might be observing from but saw nothing at the moment.<\/p>\n

She turned her attention back to the fight going on in front of her, seeing HK firing at will and had a feeling if he could smile he would be smiling. She watched as the attack seemed a bit light, even as Kira blocked a few blaster shots and engaged a Flesh Raider.\u00a0 Taking the moment to watch the graceful form attacking she realized Kira had grown in her abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey appear to be retreating,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

Lexxa noticed it as well. They backed off in their attacks and were now in full retreat as the guards and her group relaxed a bit.\u00a0 T7 indicated they were retreating and Lexxa put away her lightsabers waiting as the guards gathered themselves together before Kira and Jela headed over to her position.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of their larger raids,\u201d Jela said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Sith wants to test how good we are,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn which he learned real quick, there are no padawans here,\u201d Scourge said. \u201cWe should move cautiously.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cObservation: their attack was well coordinated, but they were not trained well,\u201d HK said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to agree,\u201d Rusk said. \u201cWhoever is training them isn\u2019t doing a great job, more like enough to get them to do what he wants.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA mistake a Sith Lord wouldn\u2019t make,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut someone stronger than an apprentice? Maybe someone trying to gain some influence with a Sith Lord?\u201d Lexxa asked mulling it over in her mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat would be logical, especially if he has a Sith Lord in mind,\u201d Scourge said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can have the station monitor for any transmissions from the Flesh Raider village,\u201d Rusk said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo it,\u201d Lexxa said. She wanted the information and in that would know how to handle the situation better. She also knew the attacks couldn\u2019t continue despite the fact they lost no one this time.\u00a0 They would not be here forever to defend the village.<\/p>\n
