Part 2<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lexxa exited the speeder along with her companions while looking around as dusk started creeping across the village. Things looked almost the same as when she had been here so long ago when her journey as a Jedi Knight had only begun.\u00a0 The real difference was she was not a lot more experienced than she was before all of this.\u00a0 She also felt relieved that the Sith invasion had spared the village from any destruction.\u00a0 Spotting Ranna she made her ways over towards her noticing she was talking with another Twi\u2019lek.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe lost another guard last night, no one saw anything, the others are getting worried about staying on patrol at night\u201d Lexxa heard the male Tw\u2019lek said to Ranna.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen perhaps I can be of some assistance,\u201d Lexxa said speaking up to the group, watching as they looked at her. She noticed Ranna\u2019s face turn from worry to relief at the sight of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cLexxa, thank the Force you\u2019re here,\u201d Ranna said, running over and hugging Lexxa. She looked over at the glare she received from Kira.<\/p>\n

\u201cSister, huh?\u201d Kira said, her tone saying a lot more about what she thought of the story even as Ranna released Lexxa.<\/p>\n

\u201cUh, let me introduce everyone,\u201d Lexxa said hoping to change the topic of conversation. \u201cEveryone, this is the Matraich, Ranna, Ranna, you probably remember T7.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe droid you had last time you were here,\u201d Ranna stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cYep, he\u2019s a good little droid,\u201d Lexxa said, hearing T7 chirp before moving to the next person. \u201cThis handsome guy is Doc, a professional doctor and fighter, does it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPleasure is mine,\u201d Doc said giving Ranna a slight bow and Lexxa watched with some amusement as Ranna blushed at the attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is Kira, my padawan and more,\u201d Lexxa said, emphasizing the more part to Ranna who seemed to understand.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure to see you all,\u201d Ranna said, moving away from Lexxa slightly and welcoming Kira a bit more. \u201cAny friends of my sister are always welcome here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you,\u201d Kira said, accepting the hug from Ranna who then turned to T7.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope you have forgiven what we did last time you were here,\u201d Ranna said to T7, who chirped.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe says if you\u2019re a friend of the Jedi, he\u2019ll trust you,\u201d Lexxa said, giving it a short version, not saying how T7 was going to be watching her.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, I didn\u2019t want to do that,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cCome, let\u2019s get comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lexxa and the group made their way over to Ranna\u2019s house, which was spacious and would accommodate them all. \u201cSo, tell me what the situation is?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt started shortly after that Sith invasion, which fortunately they ignored us,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cGuess they figured we were not worthy of any attention, not that I\u2019m complaining.\u00a0 My scouts indicated the fighting was fierce, and how you came in and cut a swath of destruction routing the enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, well, wouldn\u2019t say that much, but I did what had to be done,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a good thing you\u2019re a good warrior, otherwise I\u2019d have to patch you up even more than I do,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think its sexy, and she\u2019s got some nice scars,\u201d Kira said, then stopped and blushed. \u201cI said that out loud didn\u2019t I?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will agree, she is something,\u201d Ranna said agreeing with Kira. \u201cShe risked her life to save my people, for that I will never forget her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, the attacks started after the Sith were defeated here,\u201d Lexxa said putting the conversation back on track.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, a few weeks ago, its started with only minor raids which we easily beat back. We have learned a lot since you were here,\u201d Ranna said.\u00a0 \u201cHowever, I was concerned with the timing, so I contacted the Jedi Council after the raids continued.\u00a0 They mentioned something about being busy with someone called Revan, but managed to send a couple of padawans, for which we were grateful.\u00a0 It worked until last week when one was killed when he went out to search for the main Flesh Raider\u2019s base.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lexxa knew they had lost two padawans, but still heard the pain in Ranna\u2019s voice, she took the death of anyone under her hard.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other padawan, he said something about a Sith training the Flesh Raiders, but lost contact with him before he could complete his report. Our scouts found his body not far from the gate two days ago, that\u2019s when the Jedi Council seemed to be real concerned,\u201d Ranna said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever this Sith was, he was sending a message,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cA message by a sicko,\u201d Kira said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we\u2019re going to face him,\u201d Doc said.<\/p>\n

Lexxa fell silent giving the information some thought as they walked inside and sat down.\u00a0 It sounded like some sort of Sith Lord, but also meant this Sith had more training than she hoped to be facing.\u00a0 He, or she, had killed two padawans and now she needed to figure out what the goal of everything was.\u00a0 If she could figure that out it might give her an advantage, of course she was a Sith killer and her enemy probably knew of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cT7, can you scan the nearby area, alert us to any Flesh Raiders which might attack,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cWe\u2019ll work with the guards on duty to keep watch over the village.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre we staying up all night?\u201d Doc asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, split the watch, who wants to take the first watch?\u201d Lexxa asked looking at the two of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can, if Doc wants to take the second watch,\u201d Kira said looking over at Doc.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I can,\u201d Doc replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m okay with it,\u201d Lexxa said looking over at Ranna. \u201cYou think they\u2019ll attack tonight based on their past raids?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not know,\u201d Ranna replied. \u201cTheir attacks have been random at best.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry, me and T7 will keep our eyes open,\u201d Kira said, as they headed out of the room.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, then I\u2019ll get some shut eye, I\u2019ll need it,\u201d Doc said, moving to another room which Ranna had some other help set up before leaving Lexxa and Ranna alone.<\/p>\n

\u201cA bit more than a padawan?\u201d Ranna asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cKira is my padawan, officially, but unofficially, and it\u2019s to remain a secret, we\u2019re lovers,\u201d Lexxa said watching as Ranna smiled.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is good for you then,\u201d Ranna said surprising Lexxa.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe keeps me on my toes,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the other rumors? How many of those are true?\u201d Ranna asked with a slight smile.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, what rumors are being spread?\u201d Lexxa asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are calling you a hero on many worlds,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cIf half of the stories are true then you\u2019ve been very busy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, yeah, had a Sith Lord who had a personal vendetta against me,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cThen we went after the Emperor himself, was captured, broke free and then had to stop the Emperor from destroying the entire galaxy with some hair-brained plan for even more power.\u00a0 Then went to a few other worlds, including another problem with the Hutts and then Revan, which I ended up working with another Sith.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have been busy, makes what we\u2019ve done here almost insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe,\u201d Ranna said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI head to a spot, help out, but you had to remain and rebuild,\u201d Lexxa replied to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat may be, but you deal with the problem allowing us to rebuild. Without your help it would have been impossible to attempt to rebuild our lives,\u201d Ranna said.\u00a0 \u201cI may never leave Tython, but you\u2019ve already been all over the universe.\u00a0 And what you do effects the entire universe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, well, that might be, but I\u2019m still one person, who had a lot of support,\u201d Lexxa replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, how did you meet Kira?\u201d Ranna asked, suddenly changing the subject.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, well, I actually met her here on Tython first, she was the padawan of another master,\u201d Lexxa replied. \u201cWhen I went to Coruscant she and I worked together, and after that she became my padawan.\u00a0 She\u2019s smart, funny, a bit quick to jump into action, and she and I became close over time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the Jedi code?\u201d Ranna asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, well, it\u2019s something to try and follow, but not everyone can do that,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cAs long as it\u2019s not out in the open, and others don\u2019t see it, well, a lot of others also do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, that\u2019s interesting,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cSo, if I swung that way then I might have had a chance?\u201d<\/p>\n

Lexxa thought of the threesome she could have but quickly dismissed it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, well, we\u2019ve each had flings, but I look at you as family,\u201d Lexxa finally replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood, so do I,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not for a simple fling, I do have to protect my position as well, and that wouldn\u2019t be looked upon with any favorability.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDid you tell anyone that we performed the ritual?\u201d Lexxa asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost in the village do know,\u201d Ranna said. \u201cI told Jela about it, and it spread to the others when I said I wanted to ask for you.\u00a0 I knew you wouldn\u2019t fail me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey wanted to know why I would come at your request,\u201d Lexxa said, seeing Ranna nod. Lexxa figured it wouldn\u2019t do much, and might actually help in talking to others and getting their help.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure you\u2019re tired,\u201d Ranna said, standing. \u201cI\u2019ll let you get some rest then.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll see you in the morning,\u201d Lexxa said taking some time to move outside and look around. It took her only a few seconds to find Kira and T7 talking with one of the guards and made her way on over.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re supposed to be resting,\u201d Kira accused.<\/p>\n

\u201cWanted to see how things were going out here,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust getting everything settled with Jela here,\u201d Kira replied.<\/p>\n

Lexxa looked over the tall Twi\u2019lek who looked back at her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have rotating guards, but we\u2019re all locals, farmers and such, no real soldiers,\u201d he said to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re here, Lexxa said. \u201cAnything on your scanners T7?\u201d<\/p>\n

She listened as he chirped back indicating nothing appeared on his scanners.<\/p>\n

\u201cStay alert, remember, some of these Flesh Raiders were capable of using the Force last time I was here,\u201d Lexxa said watching Kira nod.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I remember that,\u201d Kira replied back. \u201cWe were setting sensors for days before heading to Coruscant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs there a certain area the Flesh Raiders like to attack?\u201d Lexxa asked, looking at the village.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey normally don\u2019t attack on the path to the Jedi Temple, but on the path nearby,\u201d Jela said and Lexxa knew the path, it led to what was a Flesh Raider village when she was here that she had to visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll check it out and stay close,\u201d Kira said, moving off to the area in question as Lexxa took a few seconds to admire her lover before turning her attention back to Jela.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you\u2019re the one who is like a sister to the Matriarch\u201d he said. \u201cI hope you are strong enough to counter a Sith.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had some practice,\u201d Lexxa said seeing his doubts. \u201cI\u2019ve fought the Emperor himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess you are,\u201d Jela finally said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t keep up with what\u2019s going on in the universe,\u201d Lexxa said to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy job is the protection of the village,\u201d he replied. \u201cI take that very seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know, but this is what I do. It\u2019s who I fight,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope so, this guy seems to be strong,\u201d Jela replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne never knows, a padawan can defeat a Sith Lord, been there done that,\u201d Lexxa said to him seeing his disbelieving face. \u201cWell, going to head back and get some rest.\u201d<\/p>\n

She moved back into the house and towards the communicator contacting the ship seeing Rusk answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything all right up there?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo far, HK is moody, and Scourge is, well, a former Sith Lord, meditating,\u201d Rusk replied causing her to chuckle a bit at the fact a robot was moody.<\/p>\n

\u201cHK is probably disappointed he has no targets to blast,\u201d Lexxa said. \u201cI\u2019m not sure what we\u2019re up against here, so be careful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo worries,\u201d Rusk replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s probable that we\u2019re up against a Sith Lord here, so no telling what connections he has,\u201d Lexxa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want me to look around?\u201d Rusk replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, just be wary,\u201d Lexxa stated not saying that Rusk wasn\u2019t too subtle when looking for clues or others.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoger,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, going to get some shut eye, tomorrow\u2019s going to be busy,\u201d Lexxa replied. \u201cI\u2019ll report in tomorrow night.\u201d<\/p>\n

She watched him give an affirmative before ending the communications and heading over to a bed to rest. Tomorrow she would be looking for the main camp and try to find any information she could about who was leading the Flesh Raiders.<\/p>\n
